In the context of the set, if you are going to lose a creature to infect, you may as well block another and save yourself some poison counters.
Following that logic - good with tokens/token generators?

I'd just add a kill-spell instead of this. Also gets rid of an attacking creature. And a non-attacking creature. And doesn't force me to have creatures myself that must be able to block whatever attacks me, and hopefully kill it. And so on... 0.5/5

Add "draw a card" and we've got the deal. No? Well, it still can make 23th card into limited deck, if you've got lots of Goblin Gaveleers and Sunspear Shikaris and need some extra equipment. Otherwise it's crap.

Not worthy of a cardslot.

Awesome vs Infect...really reduces third turn attacks and lets me survive long enough to do something of my own.

Awful, not even playable in Limited. Why does this cost 2? 1 or 0 and it'd be worth considering with Smiths...

I'm going to go ahead and laugh as I run jellyfish tribal with this on my Gomazoas.

This + Wurmcoil Engine to kill everything that swings, and gain 6 life. The only real bummer is it's not tutorable with Trinket Mage. Cast 1, Equip 1, would've been more than fair with this card.

Would be worth it if they added "Can only be blocked by two or more creatures" as it would fit flavor and game play wise. Tho they would have to bump the cost up a bit to keep it balanced then.

With such a marginal effect, it could at least cost {0} or {1} to cast so that it can be tutored with Trinket Mage.

This should cost less to cast. Interesting equipment, though.
@HKaggrorusher : No, the second blocked creature has to be something your creature could legally block.

This on Guard Gomazoa makes for a much greater wall. True enough though that's the only good combo I can think of at the moment.

This, plus Nested Ghoul and Darksteel Plate . You now have a token generator, which can take advantage of Parallel Lives. Can anyone else make this combo better? With cards currently in standard?

If it gave my creature vigilance I'd play it, even if the CMC and equip were 3 instead. I wonder what R&D was thinking when they made the CMC 2 while Infiltration Lens got away with 1... 3.5/5
also, in a mono white deck. this is terribly worse than high ground.

A bit too expensive, and Equip would have been fine for something like this. Still, giving Darksteel Myr the ability to uber-chump not one but two creatures? Well worth it.

Works okay with indestructable creatures, creatures with a relevant protection, or some way of negating the damage (Ghostly Possession on your own creature, or damage prevention fast effect).
I agree that the cost could afford to have been dropped though. 1 to cast this wouldn't have been too OP.

Waste of a card slot even inside of block. The card should have at least given some sort of bonus for two mana to cast. Card should cost 1 or 0 and then 1 to equip because the ability is trash.
I have no problem with the mere 2 to cast and 1 to equip. That's pocket mana.

Can be very effective if you run a lot of indestructible/protected creatures, or creatures that do nasty stuff to those they block (like Wall of Frost). Other than that, though, it loses effectiveness pretty quickly.
