While I don't like how relevant that -1 can be at times (Warlord's Axe, an almost assuredly worse card could at least be chucked on a Squawk turning it into a 4/1), this is definitely a good piece of limited equipment. It's a huge power boost that turns a bear into a behemoth, and while it's still an easy trade for the opponent, they more or less have to make the trade. It makes pretty nice blockers too.
A +4 for a 3 mana cost and 2 equip is friggin awesome. Glint Hawk and Kor Skyfisher have a new best friend.

Absolute limited bomb. Throw it on ANYTHING with flying, and if they can't answer it, it's game within a few turns.

Cool card :D It likes creatures with high toughness (4/5+) and low power (and of course, ones that you expect to die to removal anyway).

As a mono player, I'll stick to my strata scythe, thank you very much. This is limited equipment, and at this it does the job.

That artwork is amazing. I'd play it in a casual deck just for the awesomeness.

R&D forgot the part where you draw a card when the equipped creature goes into the graveyard.

Actually this was designed specifically to be hard to use with infect. Most of the common infectious critters have 1 toughness for a reason. This is that reason.
Edit: Hold on a bloody second! Why does this card have a quote from a Phyrexian on it?

I like this card. Good boost at a slight drawback, well balanced and all that. 3.5/5

I love throwing this on my Aether figment in my B/U control deck. 7 unblockable every turn ftw!

The Mirrans have such great technology (super secret tech) that even Urabrask is impressed. No one impresses Urabrask.

In block works well with Core Prowler, giving you a 6/1 infect that proliferates when it dies. Which is quite nice :D expensive though :(

Honor of The Pure or Accorder's Shield
Barbed Battlegear
if that's not enough you can always throw in a Grafted Exoskeleton or even a Grafted Wargear
