It's a very nice card for both mono-red and reanimator decks.

Yay, a new phoenix! And he's somewhat good too! However, Phoenix with artifacts? I can't manage to imagine those two together D:

He's one of the cards I was hoping to get. I wasn't so lucky. But I did get three Hoard-Smelter Dragons.

Possible combo with Fauna Shaman...definitely deserves some playtesting.

Only {4} to bring it back not to your hand but the battefield is awesome. Great Furnace and other great low costing artifacts and he will never stop punching your oppents in the face expecaily with that haste.

Spectacular art, and a new card with my favorite creature type. Hopefully will see use in a deck as the block progresses.

Heh, can't wait to use this in a monoblue deck. I'm going to pitch it to my one of my masticores then resurrect it.
My blue artifact decks just keep getting sillier and sillier.

Finally a good phoenix. Maybe next time they'll make one that doesn't only work in an artifact deck.
This really is great. If you're playing, say, blue, with a lot of artifacts and discard and draw effects, this can be easily splashed without any actual sources of red mana.

I really like this card and was hoping to use it in big red style decks as a removal proof threat especially vs U/X control, but the reality is that existence of sideboard options like celestial purge and memoricide for those decks basically ensure phoenix will never see play.

The best Pheonix?

I'm surprised Riddlesmith hasn't been mentioned yet...it's hard to find two better friends in one set.

"Only works in an artifact deck" ??
This is a 4/4 flying haste for 5, why wouldn't you want to play this in mono red? Even without artifacts this guy is still a beast.

In Limited, this guy is about the equivalent to Vengevine, perhaps even better. If you're drafting Scars, you'd be a fool to pass this up unless you really just can't squeeze red or don't have Riddlesmiths.

It seems some other people have also realized that this is a blue card!

Metalcraft can be oddly color intensive. This guy I guess can be avoid the colored cost if you get him into the grave but it's sort of something you have to plan around.

I'm surprised to see that no one has mentioned a possible combo with Sliversmith.

Makes Artifact Lands a must-have in my Crosis Reanimator EDH. Doubly so for Flayer of the Hatebound.

This card would be perfect even if it didn't have that insane metalcraft ability which can be abused very easily. This should be a model of all phoenixi and I for one appreciate it.

Air Elemental in Red with the ability to keep coming back.

This is a card that really needed haste, and got it.
My blue artifact decks just keep getting sillier and sillier.

Magnificent.
