Totally thought they were making more shrines like, Honden of Cleansing Fire. That would have been way cooler to me.

I agree these would have been cooler as shrines.

Slow, but it might have potential in white weenie, as lots of small creatures will be played and then this will spew out more. still very slow though.

This is clearly the best shrine. in monowhite, we can assume that this thing gets at least 2 counters each turn. in about 4 turns, you'll have at least 8 myr running around... for

It would have been so easy to make this into an awesome cycle... Yet so much wasted potential...

Not, strictly speaking, a terrible card. Very slow, but capable of dumping a small army of small robots between you and the other guy. As with all other Myr producers, it can, potentially, end up dropping a small army of medium to large robots if you have enough Galvanizers and/or Myr Matrices on the board. I think I will stick to Myr Matrix or, more likely, Myr Turbine in order to produce my army of small robots, though, for the sake of speed. I just don't see this being a better option.

Absolutely amazing in limited. My opponent got it up to 4 fairly quickly and played Jor Kadeen, the Prevailer. Not fun.

Definitely the strongest shrine, at least in Limited. (Verdict on Constructed is still out, since it's not in the pool yet, we'll see.)
Like all the shrines, he can sit in the corner and be easily forgotten about. Even if he's not, your opponent had better either have artifact hate or a wrath effect. I was blown out on turn 8 with one of these guys popping for 10 little Myr at the end of my turn. Being able to suddenly get a swarm is a good thing.
This is a sleeper. Best of the shrines, and the burn one is no slouch. Undercosted in my opinion.

Second best shrine by a mile. Again, no reason to not throw one in a Standard deck, just for a win condition slot if anything else. People are going to underplay these Shrines and not realize how good they are for months, trust me.

I finished first at pre-release, playing two of these. In launch placed second, losing to a guy who had pulled two of these.
Dunno about constructed, but these are REALLY REALLY powerful in limited. Pick them!
A must for Myr or Metalcraft decks, but I tried it in my mono white Battle Cry deck, and I think it's the best in there. Who doesn't love a sprawling army of pumpable Myr?
Cards like this have great flexibility. If it is destroyed when you don't have the mana to activate it, you are only out a card and . It has a rattlesnake effect on your opponents. It discourages opponent wrath, and makes your own more powerful.

Very powerful if used in the right deck. I recently built a myr artifact/token deck running Intangible Virtue and Tempered Steel. Having one of each produces 4/4 myrs... So one per turn *if* you don't cast a white spell? Yes please. Can easily end games if popped on opponent's turn

I had a beastmaster ascension out and popped this. 60 damage out of nowhere not counting other pumps.

Easily a 4-5/5 when playing W/B tokens. Even with only 1 or 2 Intangible Virtue's out on the field, the swarm becomes overwhelming, especially after Wrath or Judgement effects.

I only play casually with friends in home games; How exactly would this work with Cathars' Crusade? Cathars' Crusade ? Let's say I sacrifice to add 5 creatures to my battlefield, would they all come in at exactly the same time and give other creatures +5/+5 or would they boost each other as well, so as I put them down, they would be a 2/2, a 3/3, a 4/4, etc.... ?

@burnthills So you sacrifice this thing and get five Myr tokens. They all enter the battlefield at once. Cathars' Crusad then triggers five times, putting five separate triggers on the stack. Then just resolve them one at a time. The end result is that all of your creatures, including the Myr tokens, just picked up five +1/+1 counters.
Being able to crack it at instant speed is a BIG deal. Your opponent will likely not be able to board wipe until after at least one attack if you put the tokens into play in their end step.

Charged by Tempered Steel and it makes those tokens *huge.* Using that next to Blade Splicer and Porcelain Legionnaire should give you a good versatile curve of very powerful and very large artifacts. All of that high powered first strike would work well with To Arms! and such too.

How's this work flavor-wise? The giant statue of karn builds up white mana then explodes into a bunch of tiny robots?
What?

I run this, tempered steel and elspeth suns champion and eldrazi monument in my jor kadeen deck. My opponet scooped when I cracked this for 22 8/6 indestructible fliers with haste

Plop down Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant and we've got insane tokens with insane lifegain!
