Lifeline works well with this card, especially with field of souls (provided at least one other creature is in play). Oh, I don't feel like paying peacekeeper's upkeep, so I'll take a 1/1 flying token when peacekeeper hits the graveyard and attack with whatever I have, and then I'll put peacekeeper back into play before your turn, so you can't attack.

There's one way to give green the finger. Felidar Sovereign and lifegain comes to mind.

Color hoser against a friendly color? That's why every other color hates white's tactics.

@mythryn & mrredhatter: Ha! What an awesome combo! Although come to think of it, probably most Lifeline combos are more broken.

Run this with Sun Titan and ignore the upkeep. The titan doesn't stop itself from attacking by bringing this guy back, so it basically makes this card read: If it is not your turn, creatures can't attack. Any player may play a removal spell or ability to ignore this effect until your next turn.

This would work really well with Astral Slide. Just "slide" it out before paying the upkeep, attack, the it will return before any opponents' turns. Using Pierce Strider or any other damage-on-entry utility creatures would complement the theme really well, so attacking would be unnecessary if impracticable.

Looks like Mayday from A View to a Kill.
A good card for control and combo decks. "I just want to be left alone!"

As creatures get better the price of this lady keeps going up. She's a 7-9 dollar card right now!

Does Darksteel Plate and other artifacts negate the need to pay the upkeep on a peacekeeper (since it says bury)?

I'm so glad WotC doesn't print horrible game-stalling cards like this anymore.

The bane of my existence during many a battle, since I really love decks that focus on spawning and empowering as many creatures as humanly possible and swinging with them all at once for mega-damage. This card has completely halted my elf and faerie decks on several occasions. Luckily, I tend to keep a few board wipes or destroy-target-creature cards in my sideboard. She's also useful if you have a multi-color deck with plenty of white spells to protect you and amp up your life, then a non-white spell to remove a permanent whenever you've filled the field and are ready to attack.
