Although these days she's rather subpar back in the day she was one of the few good cards out of homelands.
Anyone who complains about mythic rares these days needs to look at homelands, every card under U1 (what was rare for small sets then) was utter shit, you'd rip packs hoping for Serrated Arrows or Primal Order, and wouldn't cry when you opened her, Erron, or Seinger.

A card that you can pump but your opponent can't target? Sounds good to me.

Sure, Homelands was bad. Same as Legions for example, or the Kamigawa block, or the Masques block. Just saying there are lots of sets or even blocks that are utter crap.
Homelands got quite some cards that are playable even now. Like an-zerrin ruins, aysen crusader, baron sengir, broken visage, eron the relentless, memory lapse, merchant scroll, primal order, sengir autocraft, serrated arrows (especially with perist beeing around) and autumn willow. ANd there is a dozen or so more cards that are playable in the right deck.
Sure, Homelands was bad, like quite some other sets. But many people just repeat the "homelands is the worst set" phrase without ever having looked at the cards.

Sorry, Majinara, I just don't see Everyone's Least Favorite Set as having many playable cards.
An-Zerrin Ruins: Decent but I'd rather play Engineered Plague. Aysen Crusader: Cool with the update but still risky and generally overcosted. Baron Sengir: Maybe interesting in a casual tribal deck but still heavily overcosted. Broken Visage: Spendy and highly situational but does have its merits. Eron the Relentless: Was a champ back in the day but holding 3 mana for regen every time you attack when you could use it for burn is why he's not useful. Plus, he's a turn 8 creature without mana accel. Memory Lapse, Merchant Scroll, Primal Order, and Serrated Arrows: All are excellent cards and the only truly good cards from this godawful set. Autumn Willow: Was once queen, now, over-costed. Troll Ascetic runs laps around her. Sengir Autocrat: Was once a very useful creature. Not so much any more. Still useful with Hecatomb and definitely one of my personal favorites from the set.
Cards you didn't mention that were somewhat useful: Aether Storm: Useful but only as a 2-card combo with Pithing Needle. Chain Stasis: Cool card with some infinite combos but that's about it. Ihsan's Shade: Powerhouse back in the day. Nothing anymore. Mystic Decree: Fun vs. a deck running heavy fliers, but situational. Spectral Bears: with Watchwolf being an overall much more useful creature, this will probably never see another tournament again. All other homelands cards: Garbage.

One of the best creatures in her time, but barely playable by todays standards. It kind of hurts to see these creatures that served me so well in the past become obsolete and dusty antiques. Serra Angel is in the same boat.
Pretty sure she was the first creature with a troll shroud type thing.

Wait, if she has shroud, how can she use her own ability on herself?

Overall, not a bad card. She's a decent sized creature with shroud that you can remove for a specific player. As others have mentioned, there are many better options nowadays.

@zqft: Her ability doesn't target. Targetting normally only applies if the card uses that word or uses some sort of keyword ability that contains the target concept in it (Equip, Fortify, Enchant Creature).
General comment: LOVE the art. I wish there were more art like this. I also wish she had true troll shroud, slightly better stats, cheaper cost, or just anything to make her more playable. I imagine a fun "Girl Fight" between her and Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief. Drana's power can't hurt AW. :-)

majinara Kamigawa block was not crap it had a lot of really good cards in it. But homelands is and always was the worst set in the game.

I'd like to shake her limbs and rattle her brains, if ya know what i mean... >_>
Her hand looks kind of small and deformed. Prune it?

Ah, yes. I remember opening a crapton of Homelands boosters looking for this card. About the only decent thing in that godawful set.

Wow. It's amazing how different the game become. Her power is strictly worse than Hexproof.
G for 1/1 hexproof (actually you can get it for G/U hybrid) GG 2/3 (2/2 plus lose of one hexproof). Add 1 colorless 2-3 power 4 toughness. add legendary drawback
Today she'd be 1GG for a legendary 4/4 hexproof.

A great commander card. Load up your deck with enchantments to pump her up with counters and trample. Then throw in Rabid Wombat, Yavimaya Enchantress, and Aura Gnarlid as well.

I am the only one to notice, or does anyone else see the striking resemblance the art has to Queen Cersei from Game of Thrones?

For 1v1 a weaker version hexproof on a 4/4 for 6 mana. But slap an enchantment or something on her and she can win you the game!

Amusingly, now that Glaring Spotlight is a thing that exists, her ability is safer than modern Hexproof creatures, for which she might be considered the prototype.
Sadly, she's still really overcost by modern standards, and I doubt Glaring Spotlights will become endemic enough around the kitchen table to make her relevant again with Thrun, the Last Troll around.

IMO the cost is the only thing that really sucks about this card.
- Can't be the target of spells or effects normally? cool. - Paying and targeting yourself as the player who can target Autumn Willow? Cool. - Paying to play this as opposed to something like , , EVEN or ? Lame.

Compare to Ihsan's Shade. This was the best green had, the shade was just one of many black options. Green really got the short end of the stick for the first five years or so. Except Erhnam Djinn of course! DJINN FOR THE WIN!

a funny thing to do would be to target your opponent with her ability and then if they doom blade her target yourself and give her instant speed hexproof
