I keep wanting to use Plumeveil in a deck but for some reason i keep dropping it in favor of another card. Oh yeah, defender. I know that the right way to think of this spell is as u/w removal that leaves a nice defender body but i have this aversion to something we called walls back when i played starting in unlimited. funnily enough back then i liked them, especially wall of wood and one i think was called ice wall.

By far one of the most brutal defenders. Comes out of nowhere and wrecks your opponent's attack, plus it can really put a dampener on fae.

Often very underrated due to the fact that it is a defender.
But its a freaking 4/4 Flying Flash. For CMC 3. How is this bad?
Awesome in control decks - aggro decks have trouble getting creatures with P/T over 4 in the first 4 turns.

I really like Plumeveil. This is exactly waht you need to survive the early beatdown and stabilise. It's also in my two favourite colours.

Use Guile and Dovescape to make a literal wall of birds. It's in the same colors too.
Plumeveil's pretty nice and can be brutal when you're coming under fire. Play with Light From Within, and you're opponents will be too scared to attack, waiting for that monstrous 7/7 birdwall to swoop in and mince their creatures. The flash is also very helpful, allowing you to save your mana for a counterspell if you think they've got something worth stopping in their hands, but also leaving things flexible enough to switch to an aggressive defense.

I love attacking with all my creatures and leaving three mana untapped. Even if i dont have a pumeveil in my hand, my friends know i have at least one in my deck, and will think twice before attacking me.

I've had quite a few plans ruined by someone flashing these jerks.

Personaly ide rather play Wall of Denial but because of the flash this is a great alternative.

This card is insane compared to other cards with flash or flying or defender... AND its hybrid. Wait, wait... since when could blue spawn 4/4 flying wall with 3 mana? WITH FLASH?! What the heck? I think its 5/5.
How about a white/blue control/defender deck with this and Wakestone Gargoyle ?

4/4 for 3 is nothing to scoff at. The Flash ability is the killer, though. It's almost guaranteed to kill something when you play it. Awesome.

part of a 10 card cycle believe it or not of three cost things, that cost three hybrid mana.
I brought my opponent from 20 to -2 in two turns with this card. Just slap a Warmonger's chariot and a Barbed Battlegear or Ogre's cleaver on him, and enjoy watching your opponent get demolished by some birds on a(flying(?)) chariot holding an oversized sword.
One of the most decisive victories I've had with my defender deck.

Much better than your typical wall, that high power allows you to deter attacks completely rather than just block one creature.

This is an amazing defensive card, white and blue are the best at screaming "NOT THE FACE!" but this card takes it to the next level "Not the face, OR ELSE!"
