It's wonderful in the deck, easily costed and strong legs to give a Griffin Guide or Loxodon Warhammer.

Solid card. P/T at or above curve and vigilance to boot. It survives Cone of Flame, Cinder Wall, Mudbutton Torchrunner (unless blocking or blocked by it), Thunder Dragon's ETB ability, and Ghostfire.

It won't survive Bogardan Hellkite, Fiery Fall, Seismic Strike, Spitting Earth or Jaws of Stone, but having your opponent waste that hihg-powered burn on this guy saves room for some of the knights' heavy hitters like Knight of the Reliquary or Kinsbale Cavalier.

Wow. 3/4 with vigilance for only 3 hybrid? Not bad! Nowadays, we have Leatherback Baloth as a green 3-drop, at the loss of vigilance but it's generally better for the +1/+1 P/T. White has a lack of such a creature, and too bad he's not a soldier. Still a solid card though.

I really think the developers stayed up all night and thought hybrid mana was a drawback...

If this is for hybrid ...and Leatherback Baloth is the pure green version, what's the pure white? Devout Lightcaster or Mirran Crusader...?
