This card is amazing.
Comes out swinging and either hits the opponent for 3 every turn or eats away at their big guys.
He can be chump blocked, but he's a threat that comes down on turn 3 and won't go away with leaving some sort of mark on the battlefield.

Three mana for a 3/3 with haste and wither? Count me in. I like this guy better than Ball Lightning.

Living proof that Dragons these days are unplayable rubbish that always show up to the party too late because goblins already stole the keg, set it on fire, and rolled down the hill on it. And that's a satisfactory explanation to how this card got designed, the end.

Boartusk Liege makes this guy into a 5/5 goblin with haste and wither.

What a great card. 3/3 with haste for 3 is amazing for red. Wither is icing on the cake.

This card sticks in my head as being iconic to Shadowmoor. But that's just me.

These guys (yes, plural) are highly efficient fighters (3 mana for 3/3) that can attack immediately and/or take a big chunk out of a fatty. Only drawback is that it's highly unlikely for a deck running these to use any colors other than Red or Green (but possible if you run dual lands).

Badass, 5/5.

This card is retarded. I hate design like this. A 3/3 body for 3 hybrid is already a little out of balance. Then they add haste and now it's properly not balanced. Then they give it Wither, which has NOTHING to do with the flavour of the card. The result is a confused mess of a card that by virtue of its undercosting, is incredibly powerful. Thanks R&D.

This card should have just been a straight up 3/3 Haste for 2R/G R/G

I'd rather R&D make overpowered cards, than useless ones no one in their right mind would ever use. I find half the fun of Magic is finding new ways around my opponents strategies.

a 3/3 haste wither creature makes sense for RedRedRed (though near the end of the bell curve).
It absolutely does not make sense for GreenGreenGreen. Wither and efficiency in midsize critters are hallmarks of green, but green doesn't get haste often enough for this to be reasonable.
I love a beautifully designed hybrid card that makes sense in all the ways that you can pay for it.
The cards that only make sense for one of the colors really bug me.

Now that I am done nitpicking, it is time to get back to beating face with it and cascading it into play with Bloodbraid Elf.

It seems like they underestimated the power of Hybrid Mana.

Haste is fine in green. If anything it's been needing more of a push, and it's finally getting it with this and Strangleroot Geist.

How about getting a bigger boat while you're at it, too? Just incase of jaws.

@kiseki: The problem is that a 3/3 haste for RedRedRed is decent. A 3/3 wither for GreenGreenGreen is also decent. The thing is, R&D seems to have forgotten that hybrid mana is NOT a drawback-its a huge buff. And so they threw two abilities, both of which would be decent on a hard to cast card, onto a single card with an easier casting cost. In my opinion when a heavy hybrid is the best 3 drop (or one of) in mono-color decks of its colors, there's a problem.

There are plenty of other green creatures with haste. It's not common, but it is a thing. Black also has a bit of haste. It makes sense since they are neighbouring colours. For green, it represents some sort of rampaging, and for black, it's usually on shades or similar, so you can imagine it like a spirit or ghost travelling quickly since it can't be hindered.

This card is ridiculously strong. A friend of mine has a modern RDW deck that uses this guy, and basically every burn spells at 1 or 2 mana that does 3 damage. It's a pretty hilarious deck.

Achieve your battering ram dreams by equipping Batterskull to this!

The two best cards out of the ten-card cycle helpfully courtesy-linked by Kyzar both happen to be goblins. This and Hearthfire Hobgoblin.

@Wolfsten--a battering ram withering stuff away blow-by-blow really doesn't make flavor sense to you?
