A fine cantrip if you happen to have a teammate. I like Cerulean Wisps and Niveous Wisps better.

In my RG decks it pays for itself when used on a Hierarch or BoP on turn 2.

Good for Hasting out those big-a** giants this block has given you.

Almost strictly better than Accelerate.

I'm thankful that you're a *genius*. I hate it when I see incorrect "strictly better" comments. Spread the wealth of your girthy mind!

This seems best in naya decks, where you'll have the right mana, unlikely to have haste, and drawing a card means you may get that next creature. :D.

Honestly, I think it's great filler. Gives you a good advantage in the sense that it thins out your deck, thus making it more likely to draw the stuff you want. The utility is nice, too, considering it's one mana. If I was strictly going for filler, I'd go with Manamorphose.

It could be alot worse.

Cheap Red cantrips are always welcome in my decks.

it's like a free card and sometimes useful haste! and it even turns your thing red... awesome utility

i mean seriously, 1 card, 3 things, 1 mana

Yeah, I'm with NeoKoda all the way. Red 1cc cantrips are always good, even for mild effects like this. In a number of common burn-deck situations, I need to draw into another Bolt much much more than I need the extra Red.

(I'd rather just run a few copies of Forgotten Cave if necessary, but YMMV.)

When I opened one of these, my eyes got a little wide.

It's an almost free filler in a red deck. Useful, cheap cantrips are what's up, especially in red, which doesn't usually get card draw.

Replaces itself, and gives a creature haste for Red.

Don't underestimate all three parts of this card:

1. Turning a creature red can make them susceptible to Doom Blade even if they were black, as well as play into Protection from Red and Radiance (the old Boros mechanic) tricks. In-block, Balefire Liege and other "color matters" cards could benefit from this - with a Liege out, it's a good 3 damage to the dome for just Red.

2. Haste is best when it's cheap or already on a creature, and at Red and as a common it's an inexpensive way to rush an opponent before they're ready - particularly with oversized creatures like Cosmic Larva. Swinging for 7 with trample on turn 3-4 is nothing to scoff at.

3. Any time you can replace a card in your hand for Red you should take note - red is traditionally not an amazing card-drawing color and can run out of ideas fast. With a creature out, at worst this is just Red: draw a card at instant speed. Heck, you can even play it at the end of your opponent's turn on their creature if you need the card that badly.

Haste, cantrips, and color shenanigans, all in a convenient Red package. Does its job and does it good, no complaints here.

You've just done a perfect job of describing what makes this card great. Good on you.

And seriously, red needs some more card draw mechanics.

1 CMC, red Scepter fodder, that cantrips and gives haste? 4/5 They should have reprinted this for Izzet.

one-mana haste granter.

you don't actually need all your creatures to be gaining Haste, if the one you ARE giving haste Kills Them.

Good with Swamp, Mox Ruby, and Dark Ritual for lots of completely brainless, over the top, hyper expensive decks :)
