one of the best creature ever printed. up there with Psychatog and Tarmogoyf. Personally i think better than Goyf and just under the build around of Tog.

It's already decent without persist or hybrid mana, but both of them IN ADDITION to an already competent creature/life gain engine is awesome. Not many better or easier-to-play 3cc creatures out there.

I LOVE this card. Gains me four life, takes out two of my opponents creatures, combos with Ajani Goldmane and graft cards, and its an Ouphe, a mischievous creature that likes to raid peoples kitchens. As I said before I LOVE this card.
If you have a way to remove -1/-1 counters (like with Heartmender, you can ram this into your opponent for 3 damage and gain 2 life each turn.

I hatefully love this card. What i mean is its a great card but it's never not in a deck now adays espically if your playing white!
I've found this guy can end up being really all you need to win a game....

The dual colour cost means we will likely never see it again but man this card is annoying. Persist means he doesn't care too much about death and the power of 3 then 2 means he will often take out more than one creature as well as netting you a decent amount of life.

this is sheer card advantage...chump blocking twice while gaining 4 life and having the option to deal damage as well is just amazing.

Today, I'd be happy if they just do
1GG
3/2
When this ETB, gain 4 life.
Somehow I have the feeling that they'd do the nitpicking, compare this with Nessian Courier, and decides this needs to be nerfed a bit.
The point I'm trying to make here is: amid all the complexity that is the hybrid and persist, it's easy to forget to compare with simpler cards and lose sight of the power level difference. In other words, in general
* Simpler cards need to be buffed, and get less nitpicking. (4/4 for 1GG and 3/2 Haste for 1RR in M12, Wizards.)
* Complex cards need to be scrutinized more. Cards like Umezawa's Jitte was born because they did not compare it with an equipment with +4/+4, 2 to cast and 2 to equip; it was so complex that people lose sight of the fact that the first mode (+2/+2 twice) itself would have been overpowered, or at least powerful.

Unlimited lifegain with Sigil Captain and anything that lets you sacrifice a creature for free.
I have to admit, I didn't understand the awesomeness of this card at first... I woke up slowly to its power. Taken individually, its various abilities aren't the greatest, but the whole package is quite impressive!
All the counterspells you have mana for. Only way your opponent will ever get anything in edgewise is if he somehow manages to remove both of them from the game.
A 3/2, a 2/1, and 4 life for only 3 mana? Yes please.
Great card. I use it in every green deck I make.

Very strong card. Without mentioning all the crazy combos, can still survive a wrath of god or most removal. Unhinged should make a card called Kitchen Sinks! it would have persist with like a leak counter on it or something -.-

This, melira and vicera seer for infinite life and the ability to stack any card in your deck as your next draw. I'd take that. The card itself is good.

This card's good? No really...
Yeah, this card's pretty sick. Notice that Jund decks, that have little relevance to this card, are playing 4.
Holy shiy this card is mind bogglingly expensive for an uncommon

It's no coincidence that this uncommon has a price tag of $8.00. Easily one of the best 3-drops ever printed, if not the very best. Making aggro decks cry since 2008.

I hate playing verse this card, and its x4 of all day in modern. Seriously, it cripples my RDW so hard. Lifegain is very good when tacked on to a random card.
.5/5 for being the cream of the crop, and 8$ for an uncommon.
I HATE YOU AS MUCH AS MY DARK SOUL CAN HATE A CARD, YOU COWARD LITTLE CREATURE
That being said, this card is pure value. It makes it an uphill battle for any aggro deck. Thankfully, we now have Deathrite Shaman to exile him in response to the persist trigger.

Deck yourself and gain a ton of life.
See where I'm going with this? Persist + Melira were MADE for eachother.
Great card. I use it in every green deck I make.
Yeah, this card's pretty sick. Notice that Jund decks, that have little relevance to this card, are playing 4.
Also, @ mykatdied: There's also the in-deck combo with Melira, Sylvok Outcast, Viscera Seer, and Murderous Redcap for infinite damage. And draw-stacking.
It would at least make some sense if it was green/red.

i hate this card. 5/5.
If you also have any sacrifice mechanic in play (like Bloodthrone Vampire) it's infinite lifegain and infinite counters.
