Enchantress deck.
Edit: Even though this version uses the 7th ed art, she still should have been given the creature type Elf. The first set she appeared in, and 3 of the 5 sets she has appeared in, she was distinctly shown to be an Elf.

Umm.... That's a guy. Terese Nielsen clearly dose not know how to draw women. He got the hips right, but something about the arms and face... That and the fact that his hair covers too much of his chest, I don't even get the impression of curves except on the hips.

A pity, save for the fact that she's a guy with hips, this could have been one of the coolest cards ever in reference to flavor though...

@Zoah: Umm... she's a girl. Terese Nielsen is a woman.

@Garbagegatherer - I agree with you, Terese is definately a woman's name..

@Zoah - The art shows a woman, not a man. One very clear way of telling that the Enchantress is female, is the fact that the card is names Enchantress, and not Enchanter... The only reason why hair and leaves mask her chest, is because she isn't wearing any clothing - and you can clearly see her shapes around the hips if you look closer.

I've always liked the Enchantress, even though I've rarely played with her myself. I like the fact that you can turn her into a 5/5 lifelinking trampler with a mere 4th turn Armadillo cloak. Sure, removal spells are (a lot) more common nowadays, but I still think Aura's are worth much, perhaps because I enjoy casual Magic more than anything else...

Oh yeah, BTW, isn't that the skull from Recollect she's holding in her hands? - or is it just an enchanted fruit from the tree in the background? (probably most likely the latter)

@GrimjawxRULES: She is holding a bubble with a butterfly inside (http://www.magicdeckvortex.com/ART3/yavimaya_enchantress_art_by_terese_nielsen.jpg)

@Zoah: Terese Nielsen DO know to draw a woman, you just have to check other cards, like her female Alliances version of Elvish Ranger

Poor Yavimaya Enchantress just can't seem to get decent artwork to back her up. I like the urza version best, even though she's an elf in the artwork but still somehow human.

Anyway, with +1/+1 thanks to wild growth and +3/+1 thanks to rancor, this is almost always a 6/4 trampler that attacks on turn 3 in my enchantress deck, which is just amazing. I guess i have to replace her with kor spiritdancer now though.

Yavimaya Enchantress + Enchanted Evening = Big Fatty for 3 cmc. Niiiiiice :)

Just wait a few turns for your opponent to put as many lands out as they want, then BOOM!

Boo on the team that made her human for creature type!Check the original printing artwork, VERY CLEARLY AN ELF!!! But then with all the elf cards and abilities, can't blame them for not wanting to add this to the mix....

Terese Nielsen is a woman, though I reckon the art looks ambiguous, I have seen a bigger picture of the art and the shoulders are wider, the arms a bit more muscular than proportionaly they should be, but anyway there must be woman with a bulkier chests like her, she dosen't have to be perfect, or maybe she is transsexual, in that case, cograts to wizarss for being lgbt supportive.

Hate to be the token Enchanted Evening comment, but doesn't that make her a monstrous beast, particularly in multiplayer?

Oy, Zoah, look at Liliana Vess (duel deck).

I kinda liked this as a Quirion Dryad for enchantment decks. You drop it early via wild growth or utopia sprawl and watch it grow as you play utility enchantments like elephant grass, sterling grove, enchantress's presense, steely resolve (naming druids), or a whole bunch of lock-down cards. As auras are the huge source of card disadvantage, you should rarely enchant one of these at all

I was actually quite surprised that people don't like this artwork because she looks like a guy. I've never thought of it that way -- in fact, this has always been one of my favorite artworks depicting a woman.

She's just asking for a combo to be built around her.

Throwing around Umbras might be fun, or maybe a deck built around the Kamigawa Legendary enchantments and land enchants?

Could be a casual bomb.

She's not a man. She's a smelly hippy. Why would she have to be sexy?

This card the other day became one of the reasons I now love EDH. I recently made a Uril deck, and dropped this early in the game, a few turns later I was able to drop the Uril with an indestructability on that, and then I threw an eldrazi con***ion on this a turn or 2 after that, a 15/15 trample, annihilator 2.

Who cares if she's a bit muscular for a girl. She's sexy as hell.

This should have been in Magic 2014.
