People come on, this card is amazing!!!! It only costs three, and if you wait another turn it can also deal 1 damage by sacrificing any creature!!! Don't waste you time using Prodigal Pyromancer, use this!!!!

hehe these should only be considered deck-worthy for orc decks.
Actually, this card could, in some situations, be better than Prodigal Pyromancer. Just use it with creatures with useful "when this card goes into the graveyard" effects, such as good ol' Festering Goblin, or you could equip it with Deathrender and sacrifice it to itself to get out your Shivan Dragon. Overall, I would say it's quite a decent card, it's just required that you use it in some form of combo, in contrast to Prodigal Pyromancer which obviously works perfectly well on its own.

I think if it had a shock on a stick itd be good. A lightning bolt on a stick wouldnt be good, splinter twin would mean a free lightning bolt a turn. At this rate you need to give him a splinter twin to make him as effective as prodigal pyromancer.

Clear combo with Sek'Kuar, Deathkeeper, its the same set, and chances are they were probably both in the graveyard theme deck anyhow.
Also goes great with Kresh the Bloodbraided, attack and anything that would die anyways, pitch to Kresh

no tiggurix there are much better sac outlets than this, I should know since I built a deck around them.
oh granted if he didn't need to tap to do it it would be slightely better, but since he does... mortarpod works way better, and that's not even close to being my favorite sac outlet.

Anyway.. beyond the flavor of this card (a shaman using the blood of a creature to send a spell at something else), i kinda severely don't like this card.. could have been pretty incredible if it didn't need to tap, but otherwise is meh.

Humm, probably in draft could be less horrieble, but defenetly in constructed the ability of tapping make him poor guy. Okey, but anyway as somebody told it can make nice combos with deathkeeper or kresh. You also can eliminate creatures beying passified, I donno, it has a lot of combos, but in fact there a lot of cards whith similar mechanic, but way better... =X

Massively outclassed in constructed - but so are many cards. Presumably he is a nice sac outlet in Block and Tribal. Also, he's an Orc. So 3.0 - 3.5 ish, easy.
