i think this card rocks its flying and u get to untap all the creatures u control. i like for cast because u get to basicly use the card and then put into your hand so your apponint cant kill it unless they have a card like Isperia the Inscrutable

Even if this card had nothing but its Forecast ability it would still be somewhat useful.
Drawing cards without paying mana? At any time!
Of course this won't work at instant speed in your opponent's turn when you don't mind tapping your creatures anymore, but even only being able to activate the ability once in your upkeep is worth it.

On top of that you won't find that much for white that provides card advantage.
Turning two of your white and/or blue creatures into archivists is an opportunity definitely worth considering in creature-heavy decks, those with tokens (e.g. when using Conqueror's Pledge) in particular.

And the cip/etb trigger works just great with this ability as well:
You'll effectively get a 4/3 flying body for five mana as cantrip.

And there's still more to it regarding his vitalizing trigger, since it untaps any creatures aside from just those you tapped for his Forecast ability - there are plenty of cratures with handy activated abilities that just require tapping!
When splashing green those which provide mana accel (like Birds of Paradise, Noble Hierarch or Bloom Tender for instance) will do a fabulous job with it.
You could also simply use it after combat to untap creatures which attacked that turn.

Great card, really makes me want to build a suiting deck when i look at it.

umm mode... it says only during your upkeep can you even play forecast. so its not terribly great unless you have a some spare tokens or something

basicaly a 4/3 and a card for 5cmc because you can forcast then cast it during your main faze, untapping the recently tapped creature and effectively negating the cost of the forcast

I dig this card. This may just be the Timmy in me speaking but this guy would look awesome alongside the Archon of Redemption. I actually may consider getting this card now.

I know Forecast can only be played once each turn, but what if you have multiple Sky Hussars in your hand? Can you use each of their Forecast abilities once? If that's the case, you could tap out up to eight creatures, draw four cards before your draw step, and untap them all by playing just one of these (or the previously mentioned Vitalize.)

One of my favorite knights. Stats almost comparable to Serra Angel but also the ability to draw cards. Becomes Indestructable with Knight Exemplar. But dies to removal every time I play it. *sigh

it's good, no doubts there...but is it good enough? mana is the whole defining 'thing' in Magic. Is this creature worth 5 mana in 2 colors? I don't think so. I appreciate that the Azorius knights were trying to be a new kind of knight card- higher cost, but still good effects that you simply use for different things in your deck than you do the old first striking, pro-X cards...I would have appreciated the new idea/direction more if it had actually worked and created a card I would actually use. So far, Rafiq of the Many is the most 'off-beat' Knight I will really work to make fit into decks. Rafiq is pretty freakin' awesome, and it may not be fair to poor Azorius to compare them, but...well, that's Magic. Some cards are just that good, and make the merely decent cards look pale.

@Burn - "Q: If I have multiple copies of the same card with Forecast in my hand, can I activate the Forecast ability multiple times?
A: You can activate the forecast ability of each individual card once, for a total of however many of those cards you have in your hand."

So if you have 6 White/blue creatures in play, and 3 of these in your hand, you can draw 4 cards at the start of your turn. I suggest casting one, to untap those creatures though. :)

Great card. Versatile but not too powerful. The type of card which makes you think of what tricks you could pull with it.

I originally picked this to run in my Numot the Devastator EDH for its Splinter Twin synergy; however the forecast ability makes good use of Sage of Epityr and Dawnglare Invoker, who make terrible attackers and/or blockers anyhow.

no-mana draw is always great. if it is repeteable it's even better. i like this card even if you are not willing to cast it.

I can't help but read it as "Sky Hussy"; sue me.
Lovely card, the stats are great and forecast just pushes it right into a 4/5 from me.

Unsure why people are looking at this as a creature and not a draw engine that can start drawing T3 (or even earlier.) That's just as fast (though more conditional) than Dark Confidant.

Lingering Souls is awesome with it. Keep these in your hands until you think either:
-You lose if you don't cast it
-You need a medium-flyer to finish the game

I thoroughly enjoy this card. Free card draw is too good and you can build a relatively good budget deck around it. Get some Judge's Familiars, and Cursecatcher for solid 1 drops. Raise the Alarm is amazing because I play some light counter spells, so if I don't have to counter, 2 soldiers for plenty of draw from the Hussar. The new God-Favored General fit in nicely.

Just a nice, solid budget deck. Think on it :D
