Green's answer to flyers aside from spiders. I like it, as it allows me to play more big fatties without worrying about the sky

finally a decent anti-flying for green. Spiders suck and now you can replace them fore more worhtwile creathres

Now lets see those pesky Angels try something.

All I can do when I see a card like this is just laugh.

As if green wasn't doing enough to nerf fliers...It even has its own Lightning Bolt for them now, but this...this is just massive lolz. A sideboard staple for sure.

This seems too powerful. Basically green has nothing to worry about flying creatures now. I mean, this basically just eliminates flying. What the hell?

Thank god for this card! I feel so vulnerable with flyers on the battlefield...

I would actually maindeck this on the first game just to be sure. Even one flyer can ruin your mono-green day if you aren't careful. Imagine if it had cycling too... no that would be too much help.

Is this more effective than Raking Canopy? Not sure.

It's not too powerful. Multiple copies are worthless.

Its a good card, as it shuts down flyers, which are the most common form of evasion (I run a white/blue casual deck bases on small aggressive fliers).

As a side note, how exactly does this interact with Moat? Lets take a creature like Serra Angel. My guess is that since she has flying, your allowed to declare her as an attacker despite moat being in play, but after she's been declared an attacker, Gravity Well triggers, and she loses flying, thus can be blocked as if she didn't have flying.

Great, now I can rid my deck of spiders and easily kill off those pesky vampires. It is far easier for green to make three power creatures than it is black to keep up vampire assaults when you clip their wings.

Sweet, now my Terra Stomper can tell Baneslayer Angel to shut up. On the other hand, dang, now my Banelsayer loses out to green fatties. Thanks to this card my WhiteGreen deck is becoming a pure Green deck. No need for broken fliers when I can just trample over everything now.

I'm surprised people are big on this card. I mean has a very real risk of being a do nothing card.

As a sideboard though, fair enough.

But in casual green decks? No thanks.

Eliminates your need for non-cost-effective spiders.

This seems much worse than Spidersilk Armor.

plummet, leaf arrow, these one time cards just don't cut it. This, this is the answer. Any green deck needs this

Question would Gravity Well mixed with Form of The Dragon make it so you couldn't be attacked by creatures

I don't mind this card, in fact I feel it's needed with the state of flying in today's game, and my favorite tribe is Angels, to give you an idea of how maindecking this would hurt me. Flying is practically a free mana ability on creatures now. Besides, I'm tired of my friends who run green decks complaining that it's so hard for them to deal with flying; it really isn't, but this makes it easier for players to figure out an escape clause. If you're playing Vampires this will hurt, but if you're playing Angels nothing should stop you from being able to remove it anyway. It's a decent card with a decent price that is easy to remove and doesn't hurt big fliers, only tiny ones that make the game unfun when they're your only attacker anyway. With this in my opponent's decks I would feel less bad when my flyers beat them anyway, then they can't call the game unfair.

@lordDeathsBlood No, flying creatures could still attack you. Form of the Dragon prevents creatures from being declared as attackers if they don't have flying; it doesn't stop them from attacking if they lose flying.

Great card to run in your Muraganda Petroglyphs deck.

@lordDeathsBlood
Unfortunately, no. See, this card triggers when they are declared attacking (when you tap them) and those flying creatures don't lose their flying until afterwards. Meaning they are already tapped and attacking when they lose it, so the time Form of the Dragon would have stopped them from attacking has already passed.

Sort of like if someone taps (Trip Noose) an attacking creature after it attacks. Sure, it gets tapped in the sense that the ability resolves. Yes, tapped creatures cannot attack. But when it gets tapped is after it is already attacking.

So for the same reason you have to a tap a potential attacker before the Declare Attackers Phase, you have to strip the flying off of them before that Phase to reap the benefit of FotD.

This is a great card against flyers, but yet it is so under rated.

Now we only need a creature named Gravity Beetle to have this enchantment on a stick. ;)

They really need to reprint this in a space themed set.
