possibly useful to create a softlock. you'll need something like Power Conduit then in order to work since you'd want to prevent the second ability to trigger.

The lock also works when you have access to two Ravnica bouncelands like Simic Growth Chamber. Play a deck just with hybrid cards from Ravnica Block and Eventide (every colour combination including blue works), no Islands, just the corresponding land type (here Forests) and Quicksilver Fountain. This way, your development isn't hindered by the Fountain because you don't care if you play your hybrids with or . As Mode said, keep counters off your lands with Power Conduit and bouncelands and when the time is right, play your Tsunami (or Boil, if you prefer the route).

this is also particularly useful in an Islandwalk deck.

I can think of some serpents who would greatly appreciate this card.

QUESTION: Does the effect of the foutain replaces all my lands? eg. my mountain is with a flood counter does it generate RED and BLUE mana?

@DBZ: A land with a flood counter is an Island and only produces what an Island can produce.
Oboro, Palace in the Clouds can be bounced as a response to the targeting. Then put it down as your land for the turn.

Would be neat to use one of the many cards (like magical hack) to change the land type partway through. If you change the text of this to say mountain their forest is flooded by mountains. L O L..
Quirion Ranger works too but the scryb helps when you actually play against blue. Power Conduit helps buff your creatures and frees up your forests. Cold-Eyed Selkie has islandwalk and is easy on the color requirements. Maybe run a few Mind Bends just in case. Steel Sabotage can bounce the fountain to save it or counter artifacts that can still be played.
There might even be a way to make a decent Moonfolk deck from this...

I built the softlock deck a long time ago, and my friends got pretty annoyed at it. Not nearly as much so as when I built a Mycosynth Lattice+Hurkyl's Recall+March of the Machines control deck, but still.
I use Living Tsunami and Chisei, Heart of Oceans to keep the island-lock down, and I use Frozen Aether to lock out even newly-played lands.
turn 1- Elvish Pioneer or mana elf.
turn 2- This.
turn 3- Root Maze, Scryb Ranger.
