Great sideboard material for opponents who run Creeping Corrosion or Shatter in their sideboards. Stoic Rebuttal first if you can manage it while your artifacts are on the field.

this card is game breaking. it works early game, and I mean starting turn 1, it's not hard to leave 1 U open later. and if something manages to sneak into play you can friggin bounce it. this is amazing!

Great sideboard material against Artifact decks.

Great offense and defence if you are running an artifact deck. Bounce Art-Creatues or Arts back to your hand if they get doombladed or shattered. While at the same time countering your opponents Artifacts. For one mana.

This keeps the Shape Anew + Blightsteel Colossus combo in check -
just let them polymorph into the big 12 cmc guy, then bounce it!
... altho most of those decks will likely be packing See Beyond to return it to their deck, but it's a pretty nice and cheap answer.

A spectacular card. I can ask no more from a Common.

I didn't even bother developing a standard deck because of this card.

Hmm...I wonder if this card would be good in an artifact block...

Does its job against those pesky artifact equipment decks... You pay all that mana for that batterskull or that argentum armor. I'll counter it. Pay for it with your stoneforge mystic, I'll return the equipment to their hand and hopefully kill the attacking creature that's left behind. This one didn't seem good at first, but it truly is. Especially for (U).

Only a common?!?!?

For the longest time I overlooked this as a sideboard option for Standard. Looks pretty good right now with all the swords, living weapons, shrines, inkmoths, pods, and whatnot from Scars block.

How cool is it that it can be either a counter or a bounce?

Amazing in vintage. Counter a broken artifact, bounce a broken artifact, or even ramp your mana in a pinch by bouncing a mana crypt or whatever.

Great card, hits a lot of top decks where it hurts. For a common at only 1 CMC, this is an extremely powerful sideboard option.

Limited in scope, but against the right deck, brutal. Absolutely brutal.
Plus, if you're running artifacts (Like you should when using this), you've got an excellent defensive spell.

Fights Swords like a champ, countering them for near nothing or bouncing them if one is already in play.

Compare to Annul, which can get rid of enchantments but is a dead card if your opponent can slip it in when you don't have the mana open.

It could take off the bounce and still be played. The bounce is icing on the cake, and to keep at pace with annul.

@Crag-Hack
You mean by bouncing a broken artifact? Vintage is broken lol.

It's relevant against every competative vintage deck except for manaless dredge.
