Easily the worst of the Fonts, and perhaps the worst card in the set. You're paying 1 more mana than Angel's Mercy for this effect; even in two increments and at half-instant speed, that's very bad.

Your ability is bad and you should feel bad!

At the very least, Ephara gets a nice bit of art here.

Play as 2-drop, sits on the battlefield for ages helping with devotion until late in the game when you really need 7 life. But you're still paying 5 mana for 7 life, which is just terrible. Bad card.

Well, if you really need the extra enchantment for Ethereal Armor and/or Sphere of Safety... Yeah no, there are better things out there.

Technically, you can activate this a turn before you could play Angel's Mercy. But I think the main use here would be to have it out for Constellation and Devotion and only sac it when you really need the life.

I'm surprised we get a lifegain enchantment as bad as this from the block that gave us Ordeal of Heliod.
Sunbeam Spellbomb is an utility artifact that gives 5 life for two mana. So tell me: Why exactly does this utility enchantment need to cost 250% more mana, but only give 40% more life?
The whole Font cycle as a whole could have passed as 1cc enchantments instead of just Font of Fertility. But out of the other four, this one definitely could have gotten a cost of without any worries whatsoever.
What this should have been:
Font of Vigor Enchantment , Sacrifice Font of Vigor: You gain 5 life.
It's like Wizards was afraid the Font cycle could actually be used efficiently with Constellation cards and as T1 opening.
The Fonts almost all duplicate an iconic spell in their colour for one mana more in exchange for the little trick of being enchantments and letting you split the cost.

Font of Fortunes: Divination
Font of Ire: Lava Axe
Font of Fertility: Rampant Growth
Font of Return: Aphetto Dredging is the closest match, but it's just a Disentomb effect with a bit more punch to it
And for this one, we get...Angel's Mercy. Really?
