Kills Tarmogoyf and trades with Bob. Instant legacy staple, 7/5.

Trample is actually significant on 1 power. If this is blocked by a creature and then that creature is sacrificed the trample damage will still go through.

Does honey badger care that his trample is "wasted" on a 1/1 body? No. No, he does not. ... What a bad@$$.

lesbihonest, there's going to be a lot of people playing this in limited just because it's a Badger.
But they won't give a F**k.

No tribal support and a 1/1 that doesn't get anything from trample without support. Outside of a unique Limited full of Auras, this is just a real bad Defiant Elf.

Kudos to Wizards for putting in an uncommon creature type instead of the boring and expected Elf/Beast/Treefolk or featured tribes in the set
Please put a Brushwagg creature type in future sets!

Q: How do you stop a badger from charging?
A: Take away his credit card. Seriously. His debt-to-income ratio is way out of whack.

I find it fitting that Charging Badger is in the set Born of the Gods.
Listening to Limited Resources and they give this an F because it's a 1 power creature with trample. Come on to gatherer and it's a 3.5/5 because it's a BADGER.
But is it as magnificent as the legendary Storm Crow? Time will tell.

Make a standard mono-green deck with like 20 of these, 8-10 Sporemounds and a couple Wasteland Vipers. Insta-win.
You know, I like this. Like really really like this. He's just begging to be Voltron'd and if I can find some room, I'll definitely use him in my G/W pants deck.

Red / Green Deck Idea
Turn 1: Forest / Charging Badger Turn 2: Mountain / Madcap skills / Attack for 4 trample Turn 3: Rootbound crag / Armed and Dangerous and Giant growth, Slaughterhorn, or Rubblebelt maaka / Attack for 16 Trample.
THE BADGER DON'T CARE!!!

They clearly don't have any shrews on Theros.
Then again, we don't have hydras here, so I guess it's a fair tradeoff.

Probably one of the most fun cards in BoTG.
Turn one; stomping ground, Elvish mystic Turn two; Forest, charging badger, pursuit of flight (or alpha authority if playing against removal) Turn three; Stomping ground or mountain, armed from armed//dangerous, titans strength, giant growth (or other gruul blood-rush cards), swing 20 trample.
Pray for 0 removal.

I'm suddenly inspired to build a Weebl deck with this, all the snakes I can find, Thallids, and Narwhals. It's what Magic has been building towards all these years.

You may laugh at a 1/1 Trample, but I curved this into Madcap Skills turn two and wrecked all the faces.

You keep saying trample is wasted on a 1/1.
It's green. Green is the color of buffing. Rancor. Giant growth. A billion others. This is actually good.

Llanowar Elite, when kicked, must come in riding this thing. Sadly the badger has arrived quite obsolete - but it does have awesome art.

In an enchantment heavy block it actually works well with an ordeal or cheap bestow. It's true power is it's a 1 drop and trample is always nice to have when playing green I play this with 1 drop Heroics such as Satyr Hoplite with the R/G Ordeals. as long as they don't have a cheap removal it quickly becomes a threat by turn 2-3 and if they do use a removal you haven't lost much.
