This gives Mono-Black a better chance against the upcoming Mono-White decks. Aside from Thoughtseize, this allows you to survive for when you have to Hero's Downfall their Brimaz before things get out of hand.

As a member of the LeReddit army i think this card is better than black lotus just because it has Noah Bradley's art on it. i can't wait to use this in my 5 color Noah Bradley deck! Noah is literally the best thing to happen to magic since the reserved list. LOL Jk reserved list should be abolished lol XD!

I'm so looking forward to this card. I run a BU control deck, and a lot of time I find that I don't have a cheap sweeper that WU have (Supreme Verdict). Sure it sucks later, but this will be amazing against cheap agro

This card goes along way to make UB Control a viable deck as an alternative to UW Control. You swap the Supreme Verdicts for 4 of these. You lose access to Detention Sphere and Sphinx's Revelation, but gain access to Hero's Downfall and Thoughtseize.

Type your comment here. infest was already good as it was but this is a nice improvement, though i feel its a bit overlooked right now in legacy because of toxic deluge which seems to be the people's sweeper of choice..but this is a good card nonetheless..
Infest from Commander 2013 has a 4 star rating. The card that is strictly better has a 3.8 rating. Is this due to people just hating the idea of B having another removal card in the, quite honestly, excessive pool of removal available to them this format, or does it have to do with perceptions of the format?
Personally I like it. It's no replacement for Anger of the Gods but that's probably for the best. Quite honestly, though, I have no idea how weenie strategies can possibly hope to compete with black this format. This, Bile BlightIllness in the RanksHythonia the CruelandShrivel are all potentially deadly against said decks. Combine that with the only anthem being a legendary and black having access to both thoughtseize and duress and it's pretty easy to see why this card is so awesome.
