Too expensive at 2. By then naya blitz already has a rakdos cackler with unleash, a burning tree and a lightning mauler staring you down.

Too expensive at Two? Are you crazy? Look, I don't know what kind of hellish metagame you're playing, but when two mana is too much, you have a problem. This isn't supposed to be a Wrath of God, you shrink everything down and kill some utility creatures.
Well, it sucks. Sure, it kills stuffy doll and low toughness regenerators and some tokens. But give me an infest over that any day.

Decent enough. Nausea is a better name, me thinks.

Too bad this wasn't instant. It would make for a cool semi-fog that kills off tiny things. It's overall not a great card, but interesting, and possibly sideboard material.

Blast. Still no pyroclasm or volcanic fallout. Not that this is bad mind you. I just want a global sweep for 2 points of damage for 2-3 mana.

I agree with other commenters in that a pyroclasm reprint would be awesome, but this is common. Also there seems to be an absurd amount of Goblin Pikers in this limited format. Makes playing a more control oriented deck better in sealed and draft.
I'm surprised this didn't get new art when it joined a core set.

It is a global effect that gives -1/-1 instead of "damage" and for only two mana. I think that the effect for the cost is perfect and right on the curve. If you run three or four there is always a possibility you could cast two in a row and achieve something much like Pyroclasm. Plus, this is a common, don't ask for the moon.
Edit: You can also cast this right after a battle to take down some critters that barely survived.

Uhh... because they... are less dangerous as 4/4's...
