Three mana boardwipe that gets past Indestructible and isn't white?
I'll pay, like, what four or five life for that.

Infest meets Hatred to create a Death Wind for all creatures that's paid with life and just three mana?
That's some crazy good (and very flexible!) board control. And it can be splashed despite it's very black nature! And it's just plain cruel against aggro. Can often end up as Damnation+ for and 2-4 life.
Might even find some tricky use when cast in the postcombat main phase.

Easily the most powerful card in Commander 2013, besides True-Name Nemesis. I think this will replace Damnation in Legacy decks.

I love how easy the splash makes this to be played in an Orzhov deck since they don't have the best fixing.

It's a fine card. Kills guys with protection, indestructible, shroud, regeneration... Though I'd probably still prefer bane of the living over it.

You know, I needed another boardwipe.

I would be surprised if this saw no legacy play.

This is exceptional: -3 mana. This is lower than most wipes and dodges Gaddock Teeg -3 Mana wipes that are comparable to this (basically only Infest, maybe black sun's zenith) are more color intensive -Similarly, they are less powerful (see the above and engineered plague) -Or far more narrow (perish) -Or both (virtue's ruin) -This is adjustable so it can be 1-sided (plague wind) -be more powerful than a Damnation -Hits indestrucible, hexproof, regenerate, true-name nemesis, and more
And it combines almost all of the benefits of the above into a nice little package for your SB or even main! All for a few life. If your Wipe would've missed Goyf you would've paid a lot more life in the first place because he'd punch you; now you kill him and take the punch just once. If your opponent could dodge the wipe due to Jitte, now you can adjust it up so there's no escaping.
You can run it off of your Mishra's Factory, Wasteland, Rishadan Port, or in casual? You can run it in 2-3 colors with no problem. If you're a pox player like I am, you can even swing on the empty board with your Haunted Plate Mail or Factory now :D
Due to all of this it will, unfortunately, be unavailable to the casual audience as more than a 1-of without significant investment. As with Flusterstorm, Strix, and others; let's hope for eventual reprints in a more available medium.

Just print it in standard. JUST PRINT IT IN STANDARD! ARRRG!
I want black control to be good, not black devotion. F*** devotion.

Now that black has this and Abrupt Decay I'm wondering if Wizards is trying to push Shardless BUG.

This Card Kills You Got 20 Life You Can Pay 4-5 Easy. 5 Stars
The best answer to True-Name Nemesis in Legacy. How odd that they were printed together.

If this card weren't so good as an immediate entry into my Oona, Queen of the Fae EDH deck, I would trade it off immediately. The thing is, I actually faced down a True-Name Nemesis, and this card saved me. That exact moment, to be completely honest, is what made me keep the Deluge. In all honesty though, GOOD GOD. I mean, since I play EDH, I still eventually want a copy of Damnation, but JEEBIS. 5 stars, easy.

Suck it aggro. Suck it long. Suck it hard.
