If the card put into the graveyard has a hybrid mana symbol such as Blue or Black, would you add BlueBlack to your mana pool or choose between Blue and Black?

it says each mana symbol so i think you would add BlueBlack

I think you can only choose between one or the other. Halves of a hybrid mana symbol are not full mana symbols.

Read the rulings on this card, you pick one color or the other for hybrid mana symbols.

My threshold deck wants this bad.
For some reason it has trouble getting over 5 land out, and over a 3rd of the cards are lands.

Nice rack for a centaur.

Potentially crazy if you flip a Primalcrux or something.

Why is this rated so low? In the right deck this is a reusable Black Lotus.

I feel this would have a nice place in a 5-color EDH deck, just for the ability to mill a card off the top and cast any card you really want. A fun card in general, with good deck synergies.

Could I play this in a mono-green EDH? It doesn't fit the general's color identity, yet it's only reminder text .

Good synergy with Demigod of Revenge... use the mana from milling one to play another, then swing for 10!

@Vinifera7: You get to choose between both mana types.
So this card works pretty good with Reaper King- Your pick of WhiteBlueBlackRedGreen and 2 for each you don't take.
Nice combo with Demigod of Revenge if you already have one in hand. Two demigods for the price of none!

@lorendorky, Yes, you can play this in any EDH deck (except a colorless one, where it would be pointless). If colored mana symbols are being used as an example of how to use the card, they don't count towards color identity (it's not actually reminder text, but it's not technically rules text either).

Other cards where this applies that I know of would be Trinisphere (the Darksteel printing) and North Star.

This one should work nicely with the Spirit Avatars or any Ultimatum. Since their entire cost consists of colored mana, you'll either get five or seven mana (and might be able to play the card you've just thrown from your library into your graveyard).

Surprising synergy with Vengeful Pharaoh. Sure, I'll take a free BlackBlackBlack to cast instants every turn, with the added bonus that Pharaoh goes back to the 'yard where he belongs.

Seems great if you have topdeck control, like darksteel pendant. Also need to have a color heavy deck.

Was lead here by a busty centaur maiden, learned of a great new card with some ingenious uses.
Amazingly useful in constructed decks that work on sunburst a lot of the Fifth Dawn, Conflux, Door decks will profit from this.

but still that centauress daymn ;)
