Oh WotC, you clever bastards.

This card is not a subliminal message.

So this is why they got rid of Launch Parties! People were apparently...dying?

Oh hello there Flesh Allergy, I didn't think I'd see you around for a while, considering you kinda sucked. But at least you're now a touch faster, if significantly less abusable.

What's Tor Johnson doing on Ravnica? Why is he flying through hoops? Is this the Launch Party promo? So many unanswered questions!

Comboes with Friday Night Magic, Pre-Release, Shameless Promo, and Game Day

This is pretty good removal. Pros like me will use Trading Post and fuel this card by sacrificing 0/1 goats.

The only card to ever have been banned before it was printed.

This will see play, but only in Limited, and you'll never be too happy to have played it. But it's removal in Limited.

Rakdos sure loves to take things literally.

A demolition party is probably the kind Rakdos likes the most.
I assume someone talked about throwing a party, and the guy on the artwork just happened to be part of one.

Yo dawg, we heard you liked launch parties, so we put a Launch Party in your Launch Party so you can launch creatures while you launch new sets.

Under two stars? That's a bit harsh. This is splashable creature removal that hits everything... and the life clause isn't bad either. Not saying it's abrupt decay but still.

Reads flavor text
Puts card game down
Goes to the drawing table and begins work on a masterpiece
Goes outside and walks dogs at a volunteer shelter
Goes camping with friends and alcohol

I actually enjoyed playing this card at the prerelease until I discovered that the flavor text essentially says "YOLO."

I actually like this card (only for limited, though).

Remember Skirsdag Flayer? Do you remember people blocking your biggy, then saccing the blocker to kill another attacker?

Well, that's this, except you can sac any creature, and they lose life...

But you can only do this once...

Well, I'm still giving it 3 stars. Not bad, especially for limited.

I wonder if this cards rating will surpass MasterOfEtherium and Lotsofpoopy's comments combined

The card is all flavor and self-references. It's not remotely playable outside of a really bad Limited pool, but at least the card is funny.

I kicked some butt at the pre release with this card. Rakdos Crackler isn't getting past them anymore? Launch party at that big baddy.
That being said many better cards then this. Also really sad I didn't see a Rakdos achievement for casting Launch party at the Launch party for the set. Such a shame.

This thing has given me crazy mileage in limited.

Yeah, you're 2-for-1-ing yourself. But it's only a matter of time before you've got a creature that's no longer useful to you. Especially in a limited environment with Detain, Arrest, Paralyzing Grasp, and Stab Wound. And sometimes, all I need is those 2 points of life to end the game.

You have to use it at the right time, but that just makes a card more satisfying.

This has become an early pick for me when I'm drafting RTR and want black. 4 dmg combined with Guttersnipe is brutal.

Decent card in limited. Stab wound is an actual card (i've lost and won with this card), and it's nice to have a sac effect to get rid of it. When you consider that jarad and the golgari guildmage are both premium cards likely to be taken early, this is one of the few ways to reliably get rid of a stab wounded creature. Arrest and paralyzing grasp are also in the set, things that you don't mind saccing creatures from. IIRC it's also the only unconditional instant speed removal (ignoring the fact that you need to sac something).

This is the most meta damn card I've ever seen.

I hope Wizards doesn't see the low rating and decide this card was a failure. This card is awesome. And it's a pretty good introduction to the Rakdos mindset.

Sure, a subpar 2.0 rating is probably about what it deserves on the power scale, but I can live with a few underpowered cards, when they contribute a lot to the set's flavor. Life's too short to not love the things they do. :)

Decent in Limited, sometimes better than Assassin's Strike. That's not saying much though. 2/5

Yeah, I get that sometimes you have creatures you don't mind losing. But still, that should mean a decrease in casting cost, not an increase.

3.5/5. A coveted piece of removal in limited with a lifegain bonus. Not good for much else other than casual.

@steelpommel: I sacrifice Lotsofpoopy to destroy MasterOfEtherium.

And nobody sees the fun here with Ogre Slumlord in a Rat Tribal Deck? sac a Drainpipe Vermin, and for 5 mana you just accomplished the following:

1. Killed their creature
2. Forced them to Discard
3. Made 2 Rat tokens with Deathtouch
4. Cost them 2 life
5. Put a creature in both players graveyards for the benefit of Crypt Incursion later on.

Suddenly its not 2 star card anymore.....

Combo with Banewasp affliction? Worth the sacrifice for that.
