Damn, it should at least be, "for each player, choose a creature that player controls. Those creature's controllers sacrifice them" or something like that. 4 mana and a creature for something thats been established at a 2 cmc cost? This actually deserves a 1 rating!

This card is used in one of the examples in the comprehensive rules. Specifically, it's mentioned in 601.2g.

Overcosted. Remove the sacrifice, or the nonblack, or both; then you've got a card.

Clearly overcosted by 2 - perhaps 3.

I don't know what Yawgmoth sees because all I see is crap.

Could someone give the bastard some glasses or something?

the sad thing is that with the rating system no card can go below .05... this card should never hav been printed...

Yes, because losing two life would be too overpowered.
If it said "destroy target creature" then it would've been better.

This was actually a decent card in limited. Remember that this was from an era where they didn't print half a dozen Terror variants in the common slot. And also damage on the stack.

This is just the worst of a long series of black common removal spells. The only thing I don't like is that it is referred to Phyrexia, one of the most powerful factions in the Magic world... The Father of the Machines doesn't deserve this card...
