This comment is not about the art.

This is really, really awesome. Absolutely splashing into a deck if you are playing Black or Green, especially with the reprinted Shocklands

How to fix Regrowth: Make it exile itself (and make the casting cost a little pickier).

This might prove to be useful sideboard material. That is, if you don't spend too much time staring at the art before playing it.

I really like the skeleton necklace thing in this art. Is this one of the Sisters of Stone Death?

Well, it's a bad regrowth. All in all it's still a good card.

2 to return anything is handy, even with the self-exiling.

And the art. Just, the art...

If I made a "rock hard" joke, would I get slapped?

Seems really good. Regrowth has been too powerful for years, leading to stuff like Revive and Noxious Rebirth. This takes away the possibility of a broken combo (making cards fair is always good) and puts a bit of a colour restriction on it; seems fair.

Pros like me will use this to fetch the best card in our respective graveyards.

@Lotsofpoopy: Pros unlike you don't shout around that they are pros.

At the time of the last trip to Ravnica, there was only one gorgon left alive on the plane. Savra/whatshisface killed two of the members of the sisters of stone death, leaving one. Return to Ravnica comes out, and suddenly the plane's full of them, from this one here to the rather uniquer looking vraska. The complete disregard to the storyline and plot followed in the books is rather sad, if you ask me.

Regrowth, almost. Still, the effect is rare enough to make this worthwhile.

Best used for getting things from the 'yard that other cards, like Disentomb, can't. Such as enchantments, instants, or sorceries. There are plenty of other cards to get back artifacts and creatures.

Deserves a much higher rating imo. Just because it exiles itself and is multicolored does not make it a full star less than Regrowth

This gorgon looks suspiciously japanese, if you know what i mean.

This goes fairly late in limited, but I always try to squeeze it into any deck I could remotely splash it. At worst it's just a Disentomb, which is already quite useful if you have a deceased bomb, or even a remotely troublesome creature. But it can also buy you a second shot of premium removal like Augur Spree. When it gets back an Explosive Impact to burn out your opponent from 10 life, you're really cooking. And then, with some self-mill in the mix...mmm. You start to feel how that art looks.

@RAV0004
It never explicitly said that the Sisters of Stone Death were the only gorgon. In fact, the novels imply that there are multiple gorgon apart from them. They were simply the most notable. Until now.

I am going to one day make a deck using only Modern versions of cards from The Deck:

Time Warp, Time Reversal, Treasured Find will make the deck a lot weaker.

Baneslayer Angel is so much more powerful than Serra that it might still be a neat idea :)

Simply a great card at a superb cost. Exiling itself is understandable, considering you can run four of these in your deck to bring literally anything from your graveyard back to your hand.
Hello, Disentomb.

An interesting twist on Regrowth. Although clearly not as good, the art certainly make up for its lacking power by comparison to its fig leaf descendant...

Keep it up Jason Chan- I hope to see more Gorgons in the future!

It's useless to be a gorgon - I don't think people are going to be looking into it's eyes.

Very good, versatile card. I have quite often found myself using it on Curse of the Swine. Even more often have I found that my friends refuse to talk to me after that. Especially if I play a Pyroclasm afterwards...

The reason that this exiles itself is because it appeared in a set with Deathrite Shaman in it. If it didn’t exile itself, you could dig in your graveyard for a card you wanted, and then exile Treasured Find with DRS to do 2 points of damage to your opponent every time you cast this. That would be a little too killy.
