So it's essentially a 4/4 for 4. That's normal for green, so we can say that for the 'cost' of needing another color, you get extra mileage out of increasing its power. Sounds fair.

It's better than a four/four for four, in most ways. I suppose in a few it's worse.

It's weird P/T and abilities like this that can make a card that is essentially a 4/4 trigger something like Mentor of the Meek. Sneaky, very.

Prime target for Ajani's Behemoth Sledge. Not bad on it's own, either - not as cost-efficient as Wild Nacatl, but double strike is always an useful ability.

Lots of fun to follow up with Colossal Might.
6/6 double-striking trampler, anyone?

Great flavor (twin-claws = double strike, well done!) and costed right for what it is (4/4 for 4, essentially, and {G} can splash for the color of your choice).

4.5/5

Costed right, and a major threat on turn 3, if you can get your birds//elf out.

Why is this rated so low? This thing can be a pretty major threat on it's own - it gets worse if you add support to it! Think Obsidian Battle-Axe

These guys work quite well. Shield of the oversoul gives you an evasive 8/6 flyer that is quite difficult to kill. Any of the standard pumps add between 6 and 8 damage on top of other niceties, meaning that turn 5 your opponent needs to be a bit careful. Tower Above has some extra nice synergy, turning him instead into something like a 12/14 provoking trampler (due to the wither + first strike.)

Yup!

Rancor anyone?

I think twinclaws would make great use of twin Civic Sabers.

This is better than just a 4/4 for 4. You can use it with the Shadowmoor/Eventide multicolor auras. Anything that would boost its power basically gives it double the power boost. Your opponent's high power/low toughness creatures also don't work very well against it because it deals 2 damage before the other creature.
