This would have been an obvious print for M10, but is a curious print now. All the Mogg Fanatic whiners stopped crying 2 years ago.

They couldn't even give it new art? I'm getting sick of reprinting old cards with new names, but not giving old cards new art. He has a hedron ON HIS HEAD. He is clearly from Zendikar and belongs nowhere else with that silly hat!

I'm one of those mogg fanatic whiners you're talking about :) - but I think they repringted this guy because of its synergy with goblin grenade.
I would complain about the lack of new art too, but he looks so adorable with that big block on his head.

The hat is what makes him special. Don't take it away from him.

I love this little guy, and his art is fantastic. While there are a lot of strong goblin one drops right now, including Goblin Guide, this guy does a great job of swinging in there and taking care of troublesome creatures like Birds of Paradise as needed.

Tuktuk Scrapper went through a lot of trouble to get him that hat. Let him be.
I think people are slightly undervaluing this card at the moment. The thing keeps Goblin Grenade from being hideously overpowered is the fact that it's almost always a 1-for-2; you're using two cards to get rid of a threat (or using two cards for five damage to an opponent). That's usually not difficult to manage in a red aggro deck with all the chumps they have lying around, but it can still cost you tempo, which aggro decks rely on more than anything. By running arsonists, not only do you threaten a great number of 1-toughness utility cards (the M12 mage cycle, Birds of Paradise, Grim Lavamancer, etc.) if they block, you can also often turn Goblin Grenade into a 2-for-2.
Not only that, but it lets Goblin Grenade take out a Titan. Not that a resolved Titan is ever good news (unless it's yours), but being able to trade a 1/1 for a 6/6 by spending 1 mana is always a nice backup.
It's not the best 1-drop goblin ever – not by a long shot – but it's always been good enough and the reintroduction of Goblin Grenade makes it even better.
Decent card and absurd, which is perfect for Goblins.

Not sure how I feel about this guy... We were like best friends in ROE, but now I have Goblin Fireslinger, which fits my deck much better. But it's still a great creature. Its ping ability is really versatile, 'cause it can kill a little creature or ping your opponent to trigger stuff like Quest for Pure Flame. Almost never disappointed to have this early game. Also cool with Goblin Grenade.
Another thing: is it me or does it seem that they are printing lots of creatures like this and Archon of Justice in M12 just to have more opportunities to use their new keyword "dies"? Probably that's not true, though - only 6 cards in M12 which use the word "dies", vs. 5 in M11. Strangely, M10 has only one - Magma Phoenix.

@Lyoncet You can't use Grenade if they block, it's a sorcery. If it was an instant, it would be too insane, I mean, any goblin you got killed you would hit the opponent's face for 5...

Pyramid head is one of my favorite cards in Zendy. Or M12.

With an artist like Wayne Reynolds drawing you comes great risk of getting killed by an opponent just so he doesn't have to look at your ugliness anymore.
A good card for goblins, really fits with their theme of being destructive even when being expended.

Hmm... he triggers Morbid AND Bloodthirst at the same time... Come on, there has to be a way to abuse this.

It took me a while to realize that the art WAS NOT showing a Goa'uld mothership with escorts approaching moon in space.

Every time this guy turns up in my opponent's Goblin deck I just sigh and let a creature die to him. He's one of those guys that makes you want to just let one damage through rather than lose a creature. Then a few Chieftains come out, and suddenly he REALLY needs to die, but you now need a bigger creature.
It's such a simple yet irritatingly effective creature.
