I like him, even though he is slightly worse in combat than a Serra Angel, which is saying something these days. I like that it deals with anything, but i don't like it in white, where white has approximately four hundred billion ways to exile something. A colorless version probably wouldn't have been out of line these days.

Well, its a 4/4 Flyer... That takes something with it when it dies....
I'm sure White decks have a place for him, somewhere.

I like him. Opponents ofetn will have to grapple with the choice to either block and lose a permanent or let him through and take 4, which in an aggressive white deck, can be very valuable. Interesting, I think other things will better take the five slot but in limited or for casual, it seems pretty boss.

mimic vat + "sacrifice creature card" = one creature per turn. and it gets rid of pesky indestructible creatures to. and with next set being "graveyard based" i think exile will be a 2 for 1

It wasn't play much when it first came out because of Reveillark being far more powerful in the same block. Now it gets a second chance to shine!

Interesting choice for reprinting. Probably because he's got some damn cool art. 4/5
Have this out when you cataclysm to be the only one with a creature.

A classic, nicely balanced two for one. Nothing to dislike here.

Almost certain card advantage since it'll probably exchange with something else when it dies, and then it takes out some other permanent. It can even exile planeswalkers, which is a nice trick on a 4/4 flyer for 3WW.
Trippy artwork, too. The angel appears to have been inspired by Tyrael from Diablo 2.

Great with Mimic Vat and a sacrifice outlet...also makes for a pretty decent blocker.

Dudes, he's a 4/4 and flies, which makes him a solid hitter.
I mean, imagine the GraveTitan, he'd shiver because when he face the Archon, he pretty much meant:
'If i die, i'm taking one of YOU (points at GraveTitan) with me'
And i bet the zombies, vampires, skeletons, specters on his side would be turning their faces looking at the GraveTitan and sigh, for they know who'll be taken.
Nice to have it reprinted with the updated, strictly more concise trigger wording.

:) love playing this with Divine Reckoning with 2 creatures I controll... destroy Archon of Justice then exile the creature that is left standing on my opponent's side of the field...

love this card because its target permanent and remember lands are permanents too. a little expensive in my opinion

I love this card. It prevents weaker creatures from attacking by killing them, and prevents stronger creatures from attacking by threatening to exile something (and it can target anything without shroud or hexproof. Scary). If you have a way to sacrifice it, you can use it as an 'exile anything' spell.
