If you do want to play retainers, play MTGO! P3K cards aren't unethically expensive there. Retainers is probably about a buck at the most

It's sad that Reya is obviously best in a black reanimator deck when in fact that makes the least thematic sense.

A really good legendary angel that isn't busted wide open. She has been outdone by Shoeldred in the intervening years, but the NPH praetors can't be used without feeling like you're cheating. Reya has a nice balance. I wouldn't feel too bad putting her in a reanimator deck. I was in a stalemated game against a friend's angel deck and didn't feel like reading all of the nonsense that was hitting the field. I was killing something every turn, but this little lady made sure it came right back. How I wished I had a Lure... Then that dimestore hussy, Linvala, came to the party and it was all over. 5/5

I think I'll stick to Pulsemage Advocate, Breath of Life, Dance of the Dead, Dreams of the Dead, Exhume, Victimize, Elvish Piper, Quicksilver Amulet, Aethermage's Touch + Otherworldly Journey/ Flicker, Braids, Conjurer Adept, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera....
