A decent price for a reanimation effect, and I'd say fair considering the timing restriction, limitation to legendary creatures, and potential to chump block. Compare to Resurrection .
Only problem is because of the timing restriction and how generals work, it isn't of terribly much use in recurring your general, although I suppose you could let your general stay in the graveyard to use this, if you wanted.

This is odd- it's only got it's value from being so damn collectible- usually cards like that are cheaper, if they don't measure up in gameplay.
Theory: there must be a broken relevant combo I don't know about that actually makes this played by the people who can get it.
Theory 2: A certain subculture of Commander players will play Portal cards just because that proves how rich they are. Similar with other rare bling. Upsetting that they do so in SUCH numbers as to drive the price pretty stupidly up. Difference between Alpha and Beta "Timmy" cards like Shivan Dragon and Lord of the Pit speaks volumes to how much more sensible that market is (They are content to be exhorbitantly more sane with even 1 reprint).
This had better be less than half the price of a Portal version in a year. :P

Seems like they could have updated the art on this one, instead of sticking with "watercolor twodudes." Good card though, grab Iona, shield of emeria or Emrakul in response to his trigger, recur with Sun Titan or Order of Whiteclay...

This is the card that's driving up the price of this box set?!

But srsly, Captain Sisay and her legions of legends absolutely love these guys.
