I run this with Scion of Darkness in my cleric deck, since there are Dark Supplicants.
Yeah, a bit of a workaround, but I don't even have 1 Mother of Runes.

Run with red creatures and any red damage sweeper (eg Chain Reaction, Starstorm), or just run with some multicolor cards. With hybrid color creatures you can get in colors you don't actually play.

... good combo'd with Eight-and-a-Half-Tails. Just tap this guy and pay some mana to hit the opponent directly with everything you have... of course this doesnt work if they are playing with a swarm deck.

Run with Scrapbasket. Just one mana for total protection for your creature's(well exept artifacts, Eldrazi and Ghostfire).
