N....no comments?! Possibly the best red sweeper ever with an amazing new art that looks like a Comet Storm made of plasma.

After learning of this card from DOTP 2014, I'm glad Wizards decided to reprint this old-school hotness. The new art is an added bonus.

There's something about Blasphemous Act's 13 or Chain Reaction's I-can't-control-the-damage-amount I prefer over this (certainly I prefer how much those tend to cost to cast over this), but I have plenty of room for this card too. After all, it still takes out fliers and combos with Stuffy Doll and other absorb-damage cards just the same as those other two. I was about to get a copy and I'm glad I not only get to buy one with the current card frame, but also with much better art. So many good reprints in C13!

The new guy knocks the art on this one out of the friggin' park. Wow! Colors so pretty..*starry eyed* With what I can see from his art on this and his batch of basic lands from M14 I sincerely hope we see more of him in the future.

Great for control decks who dont want to burn themselves! Pyromancer Ascension? Mixed with green ramp, good sweep.

Jonas De Ro is quickly becoming one of my favourite artists. He does wonderful lighting effects.

Compared to the old art, this one looks more realistic (or at least like a screenshot from a movie with CGI effects), but judging from the picture, it feels more like a land destruction spell than a modular Pyroclasm.
For that reason, I prefer the old art, since although it shows mostly meteroids falling on a wide steppe, there can be seen a couple of straw huts.

You know, those are some really tiny stars. I'm surprised that the people in the city were able to see those stars in the sky before they fell.
