Amazing card in limited. Will probably see play in constructed infect decks, great for some extra fuel.

The ability really capitalizes on the cumulative nature of wither damage. That's just fantastic design. Very clever.
I don't know which color has the most creatures with infect, but green almost definitely has the best ones.

I think they're trying to apologize for giving us Wing Puncture last time.

Comparable to Cystbearer. Although in most cases, the difference between 2 and 3 toughness is irrelevant. I'd sooner run this.

I like the way word "cumulative" is censored here. Makes plenty of Ice Age cards vulgar according to this websites standard!

Use this with Master of the Wild Hunt. Target creature first get -2 in power and can then deal damage. Awesome!

@Minus_Prime: Actually, this works pretty well with Wing Puncture, especially if you take out one that was already marked with Virulent Wound.

@Minus_Prime: Funny you should mention that, I actually used Wing Puncture in a draft recently and used it with my Rot Wolf.

So... how would this work against creatures that have been pump until the end of turn? For example, I block a 2/3 Steppe Lynx, but it doesn't die till the end of turn. Would I still draw a card?

I hate infect... I might reason with my friends to say "Look, I just have this in my wolf tribal because it has 'draw a card' which I need, can't we just look past 'Infect' and pretend it doesn't have it?"
Sorry, but I believe Infect is the worst mechanic in the game, combining to pre-existing mechanics into something that is SO boring because it's just to plan easy if you know what you are doing Dx

You seem to have copy/pasted your comment on every infect card so I will rebut your comment here I guess. You seem to think Infect is so OP, yet not a single standard legal infect deck is doing well on the pro scene. You can't just compare infect to double strike and then say it's OP because it isn't as costly as double strike. Just because a player loses with 10 poison counters does not mean infect is like a cheaper double strike. Infect does regular damage to planeswalkers ( A fact that keeps many poison decks from even being competitive), and doesn't hit in both damage phases. Double strike can trigger on hit effect twice per combat. Infect does not do this. Double strike will allow a creature to get a "free hit" on another creature that lacks first/double strike. a 2/2 double striker beats a 2/2 infecter every time.
Double strike is more expensive because it is a more useful and much more versatile keyword. You can add a double striker to a deck full of other non-double strike creatures and not have a problem. You really can't splash an infect creature in a non-infect deck, this just dilutes your power. You have to fully commit to running infect creatures almost exclusively to make them effective.
I also see that your comment was written after the release of NPH, so I would like to also point out that the addition of Phyrexian mana actually made infect weaker in a lot of cases. Since players facing down an infect opponent don't have to worry about their life total, they can really use Phyrexian mana to it's utmost potential. Paying 4 life for dismember is a no-brainer if you are playing against an infect deck. Paying life every time you want to Pod a creature away in a Birthing Pod deck is also a no-brainer.
Seriously, infect is not even close to over-powered, if anything, it's lack of any kind of real representation on the pro scene leads me to believe it's probably a bit under-powered.

Goes well with Prey Upon from Innistrad -- you can potentially destroy an opponent's creature plus draw a card.

Get a few of these on the field and that 2nd ability gets relevant really fast, especially when your opponent is force-blocking. It's a 2/2 infector with card draw in green, that's a wolf. What a great common card.
After your Dusk Urchins has attacked or blocked once (or twice, if you can pull it off) you can swing at yourself with it and block with Rot Wolf (or vice versa) to draw 4-5 cards.

@Buljinn: "You really can't splash an infect creature in a non-infect deck". Inkmoth Nexus begs to differ.

I'm not sure why but I have an unreasonable fondness for this card. Its just kind of got some sort of cute quality to it. But, I mean, in a phyrexian way which might as well be the antithesis of cute. Weird.

@EvilDarkVoid: One, you can never attack yourself. Ever.
Two, you only ever draw one card. Not one card for each -1/-1 counter on that creature. That'd be insane.
