Works GREAT with a ton of non-green cards. The old Sengir effect, lifelink, deathtouch, infect (as DonRoyale pointed out)... the list goes on and on. I love that the flier doesn't even get to punch back! Admittedly, anti-flying cards are super marginal, but this is one of the more interesting of the bunch.

this is a card that does absolutely nothing on its own and even when paired with another creature still has a large chance of failure if your creatures are smaller than your opponent's flyers. of course, this is even a-ssuming that your opponent is playing with flyers at all. this is sideboard at -best-, not even limited fodder at worst.

Just too narrow. Your opponent must have a flyer, you must have a creature too, and your creature must have a power equal to or higher than the toughness of said flyer. Nah thanks...

I think that this has its uses next to things like Plummet. If you use it with something like Necroskitter, and use a creature with Wither or Infect to deal the damage you'd steal the creature instead of just destroying it. It would work well with Lifelink creatures because it would gain you life, although using it with a Deathtouch creature just says "I should really just be using Plummet right now."

If you are playing creatures with Deathtouch then it is more mana efficient to use Wing Puncture than Plummet.
So in the right deck it's the mana efficiency it gives that works for me. It'll be a sideboard card for my infect deck no problem.

Bad card, but the only one in standard right now (that I'm aware of) that could potentially target the same creature twice for 1cmc. How is this useful? Livewire Lash. Even better with a Knowledge Pool in play (Think about it).

Again lets say I play Putrefax then Wing Puncture take out your Baneslayer Angel then attack I've still got mana to play Vines of Vastwood and practically kill you in one hit.
