Does using ESG add to storm count?

I'd say no, because you aren't casting a spell, you are activating an ability of a card you have in your hand.

This is the card which would makes Green the better Mana acceleration than red. unluckily from limited use in eternal.

@Aun: Sorry, that's not quite accurate. Red has had its own version since Time Spiral block (2006/2007): Simian Spirit Guide

No, it does not add to storm count. You have to cast a spell, and this never does. Unless you actually cast it. But why would you do that?

Looks like somebody didn't read their art de***ion. "Say's here paint a picture of an elf spirit, so that's like a fairy with butterfly wings, right?"
Did it just bleep out $cript from art de$cription?
That's a new low.

Question: Since you can play it as an instant, could you feed it to a card that requires discard (for example, a Riddlesmith) then exile it before you discard so you discard nothing?

All the rules questions, and no mention of functionality? She's part of several players in legacy, most notably Goblin Charbelcher, but also NO Elves and Cheerios (depending on the build). She provides decks that don't want land with mana, even if it is only one shot. Hands with no land in Elves and charbelcher are completely keepable if they have this or Land Grant in them.

The look on your opponent's face when you suddenly have the 1 after he uses Force Spike.

In answer to GlassJoe: No. Once you've picked the card to discard, you do so immediately, with no time to do anything else.

going to call this the greatest pitch card ever made. Absolute necessity of the most famous decks in MTG history. As mentioned elsewhere, critical component to first turn infect win.

Addressing the pitch controversy, FoW is brutal, but it just doesn't WIN. It can save your ass a million times but will never get you the win as part of any combo. The utility of ESG, especially with gruul in RTR is stupefying. Im currently working on a Legacy/Vintage brew with a 1st turn win con that doesn't use infect, P9, fetches OR duals, and ESG is crucial. 5/5 because even if you arent playing green who cant use a free mana instant speed?
