Nice sacrificer...gives good bounty to Thraximundar...if it is jst 1 mana less and at least 2/1 or 2/2 will make it better...

At its worst, it is a 2B sorcery that reads "Each opponent sacrifices a creature." Or best, as that's what I use it for. It works against shroud, indestructible, protection...just kill their other creatures first.

I swear by fleshbag in my grixis deck. Keeps my opponents fields clear while I ramp up for the bigger badder creatures :D Oh and using him in an 8 player game totally gets you at least 2 middle fingers.

Agreed nineyears. If you have the mana, you can make your opponents sacrifice 2 creatures a turn.

It's basically a slightly more expensive Cruel Edict, with the extra option of maybe pumping up one of your crappy creatures in the battlefield (1/1 Bitterblossom token, Sanity Gnawers, or Rotting Rats).
Oh yeah, it also forces EVERY opponent to sac, so it's good for multiplayer games.

Ridiculously OP in bizarre ways but kind of over shadowed by Gatekeeper of Malakir in black.

He looks like a pokemon ^_^
That being said I use this guy to great effect in a white black control deck 4x fleshbag 4x gatekeeper means I never have to worry about protection or shroud or indestructable creatures no matter what my opponent plays unless he's got a counter or two they're all gunna die ^_^

If that thing popped out of a pokeball instead of Bulbasaur the poor young trainer would be horribly traumatised! I can almost see how you think he looks like a pokemon but perhaps only if pokemon were designed by Tim Burton's evil zombie clone. (Zombie clones....? How do you suppose that would work?)

I really like this card, even though it is probably the creature with the shortest life ever. Gatekeeper of Malakir is awesome, but Fleshbag works better with blade of the bloodchief.
Who would choose this tub of lard over Gate keeper of Malakir?

If you are playing mono-black zombies this guy is a MVP through and through. When your opponents play big creatures this guy gets everything from indistructble creautres, to creatures with shroud, and protection from black. Basicly you spend 3 for almost unstopable killing power (not actuly unstopable since Tajuru Preserver was printed).
Often you will chose to sacrifice the Fleshbag to preserve whatever forces you have (though somtimes 3 power is a good thing to keep around) , though this does combo well with festering goblin to get a 2 for 1 deal by killing an oppoents weaker creatures with the dying festering goblin.
But what makes Fleshbag a MUST for mono-black zombies is the interaction with cards such as lord of the undead, unholy grotto, and unearth. Comboed with these cards Fleshbag Marauder can return to your hand (and play) over and over and over again.
Use this with unearth/animate dead this card sacs self and can be used for multiple removals. If you have an undead warlord in play casts for one less. have rooftop in play and plays for nothing becoming free removal. get rid of that 7/7 flying indistructable.

He's in the sweet spot for what he can do. Good times can be had with Sun Titan and Unearth. I also like the option of sacrificing a weaker creature. There's always Phyrexian Reclamation for EDH.

Every time I play this guy, I tell my opponent "the game's in the 'bag." and laugh. They don't get it.
The Gatekeeper is better in duels (usually) since it puts you up a creature.
But Fleshbag shines in multiplayer free-for-all. For you get an X for 1, where X is the number of other players. And it's strictly better with Grave Pact. Other players must sacrifice two creatures - one from Fleshbag and one from the Pact - as opposed to just one player sacrificing a single creature for Gatekeeper.

Absolutely bonkers with Death Baron, and Unearth if that falls through. You can easily clear the board with proper support, and this guy is a real nightmare for players who rely on few indestructibles or removal-dodging creatures rather than a large army.
