i love this card doom blade your big green meany pay three turn it into a destroy a non green creature whoops sozza :P then on to of that honor of the pure, all ure whitys get +1/+1 now all ure greens get +1/+1 enjoy. it hasnt and wont see tournament play but a lot of fun in casual 4.5

This is a significant improvement on this type of card. If I were ever to want to make a deck based around this type of effect, I'd want it to be available at all times, not just once. Unfortunately, there aren't that many interesting cards that interact with it for me to get around to building such a deck.

Either faeries are really small or the insects of Lorwyn and Shadowmoor are huge! I'm pretty sure it's the latter of the two. Just look at Hobgoblin Dragoon.
This is probably the best of the "change color" cards.

Change the protection of creatures such as say Akroma...
In a Commander deck with Animar as general, this can be pretty close to an "I win" card.

Just use this on any of the lieges then instead of them buffing up your multi-colors they buff up your mono colors instead for maximum annoyance i suggest using this on balefire liege or deathbringer liege

I think that the art on this card is trying to evoke the idea that hornets provide out of colour burn for green.
Of course, Alter Reality already exists and doesn't see much play (in winning decks) anymore...
@Saxophonist: Don't forget that Mind Bend can also affect cards such as Karma.

I'll tell you what rocks with this? Teysa, Orzhov Scion. Change "black" to "white" or vice versa, and you get infinite, costless, nearly unstoppable removal.

You can use it to kill a Black creature, but Not an artifact. Artifact is not a color so you can't change that.
