It's a really big elf, and you can create a really good swarm of dangerous wolves. Not bad at all.

Very good card when paired with Howl of the Night Pack. This card is just good anyways.

I think this missed the boat on the mythic rare status. I see this as being more powerful than Master of the Wild Hunt.

BFFs with Master of the Wild Hunt, and they're both excellent with Wolf-Skull Shaman.

The greatest part of this card is that the wolves aren't spawned by tapping, which lets you attack with this 5/5 beatstick and just dump all your leftover mana into making wolves.

The only elf that makes Elvish Arch-druids mana ability worthwhile.

I like the understated beauty of giving the wolves deathtouch. The subtlety is rivaled only by a kodiak bear with chainsaws for arms.

Any lord that gives deathtouch, and then makes tokens to use that deathtouch is good in my books.

This card is great due to the deathtouch bonus and the possibility of attacking AND creating wolves. Also, it's an elf, and so it fits more in tribal decks. But I think that Wolfbriar Elemental is better at making wolves, since this one requires three mana for each one; the elemental requires a strong mana investment only while casting, and so it's better when using some cards to produce large amount of green mana (see Gaea's Cradle, Priest of Titania, Rofellos or Omnath).

@Kaleidostorm

if you have no elves after the board wipe, you would not have the original packmaster. no elf to champion = must sac packmaster. Sorry.
