One of the best lands I have ever seen, doesn't even come into play taped.
A must have in any white/blue deck.

Great effect, too. Get whichever color of mana you DON'T have!

It's funny, because it fixes the mana you don't have, which is generally the variety you need.

Extremely useful in blue/white decks -especially when artifacts are involved. A colorless, a blue, or a white... pure goodness. It's affordable too -unlike Tundra.

I swear, Wizards could have trolled so many people simply by making this a Plains Island. If I was in R&D I would have tried to push this card through like that.

I can not wait for a cycle of these.

Jason Chan illustrated the most hated/loved card in Magic:
And he had to do this one, which is an awful rare?
Oh, wait. It's add if you DON'T control an island. Yup. He got another broken card!!!

I love the entire rare cycle of the future sight dual lands. Each have amazing art and useful abilities.
With Zendikar coming and going without River of Tears getting reprinted, I'd say that takes it out of consideration for the next few sets. I also doubt that they'll finish the Grove of the Burnwillows cycle while Punishing Fire is still legal in extended.
That leaves this and Horizon Canopy, both of which I'd love to see reprinted sometime down the line

Eh, it's a good, usable dual land, and I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the full set printed, but Glacial Fortress will almost always be better. If you have an Island or a Plains already, then the Fortress already has full functionality, whereas this needs both in order to have full functionality. And even if you have neither, at worst, Glacial Fortress will still only be out of action for a single turn, whereas this will sit around producing only colorless mana indefinitely, until you get an island or plains. The only situation I can see where this would be better is if you don't have an island or plains out already, and have a use for colorless mana immediately on the turn you play it, and even then you're probably going to fall behind eventually, unless you draw a basic on the next turn.

All of the future shifted lands look so amazing. They really pulled out all the stops for the art on them.

I don't get it, isn't this card strictly worse than Mystic Gate?

They should do this card in every color combination!
Does not come into play tapped, and lets you splash islands if you playing with plains, and vice versa.

You know what would be interesting if they took away the colorless mana producing and then made it a three color land instead, with the same abilities. It would get kind of confusing though...

We're still waiting for this cycle to come to fruition... if only because this is so pretty.

I can't think of a time where I would want this but not Mystic Gate and it also seems almost always worse than Glacial Fortress. It's reasonable but deceptively mediocre I think.
edit: @tapir, you couldve just tapped your mystic gate for UW...
The main downside with this card is that it doesn't go well in a deck that features many of the other UW duals (aside from Tundra and Hallowed Fountain). If you start the turn with this, a Mystic Gate, and an Adarkar Wastes, it just taps for colorless. Still, those other lands can get the mana you need, so it's not a total loss.

@Calver, a plains island can tap for U or W, no strings attached. You'd be reprinting the old, 'true' dual lands. This is much more interesting, but probably still too powerful.
@Tapir, while I appreciate you trying to show how requiring several mana payments makes this better than Mystic Gate (I agree), that scenario's not very well constructed. I'd just put the U into the Mystic Gate to provide UW, play Spell Pierce. Then if they play the Goblin Guide in the first main phase you can still Swords it, and if they wait till second main when the W is no longer in your pool the haste is irrelevant and you swords it next turn.

Technically not STRICTLY better than mystic gate, on account of the possibility that your one island is tapped for whatever reason. But yeah, mystic gate is better. This dual and its assumed cycle would be awesome in Theros.

Please, for the love of gods (pun intended), have this in Theros. Maybe the allied ones first then the enemy cycle for Born of the Gods. Very probable because MaRo said there would be one Future Sight card, and this does not have its own cycle yet and it would be amazing with shocklands. Wizards! Hear our pleas!

Who needs a cycle of these when you can get SCRY 1 LANDS?
But really, not getting this cycle was a disappointment. Maybe next block? Please?

T2: Mystic Gate. Opponent plays Inquisition of Kozilek. You tap your Island and play Spell Pierce. Opponent plays Goblin Guide. Swords to Plowshares rots in your hand. Why didn't I play Nimbus Maze!?
T1: Seachrome Coast:
T2: Seachrome Coast:
T3: Out of lands, you top-deck Glacial Fortress. Your opponent plays Lingering Souls. Dissipate rots in your hand. Why didn't I play Nimbus Maze!?

I really hope they make a cycle of these in the near future. Maybe substituting for the Glacial Fortress/Sunpetal Grove/Rootbound Crag/Dragonskull Summit/Drowned Catacomb cycle in the next core set?
It looks beautifull. Pulled a foil one out of a booster.
