Narrow yet versatile. Does that even make sense? It'll have to. A Vintage mainstay and oh-so hilarious against obnoxious artifact-based decks like Raffinity and Mindslaver lock. And a classic combo piece on top of that.

I prefer the old artwork, although the new one's still okay.

I generally use this card on my own artifacts and artifact creatures when someone tries to board wipe. With Reliquary Tower you don't have a maximum hand size. So bring on the Wrath of God Damnation or Hallowed Burial

Mycosynth Lattice + Hurkyl's Recall = game over

Incredible not only as a protector but as a combo piece. You can ramp insane mana with cards such as Mana Vault, Grim Monolith, Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, etc. Even cards such as Basalt Monolith work while producing net 0 - but allows for storm counters to finish with Swathstorm (Grapeshot + Pyromancer's Swath) or Tendrils of Agnoy, not necessarily with Yawgwin.

Having this on my sideboard with Cunning Wish in my deck allows me to sleep at night.

Play with Moxen, Solring, Mana Vault, Grim Monolith and Mana Crypt for shocking mana generation.

Pfff. That seems like way too cheap a spell for such a sweeping effect.

Any relation to Steve Hurkyl?

How careful Wizards are about not reprinting this in sets near artifact blocks. Otherwise, entire decks would be ruined or made by 1Blue. Also, the flavor text rocks, telling players not to overextend on artifacts, and also alluding to how old this spell is.

This is good stuff against a token artifact deck like golemns.

Sorry, this card is just not the same without Hurkyl on it... :(

Warped Devotion would be a kick to the other side of the balls while we're at it.

I love the new art. I usually find myself playing this on myself though... right before I recast all my free trinkets and mana producers and storm a Tendrils of agony or grapeshot

This card's beast in Glimpse of Nature affinity. It's also possible to hit with snapcaster pretty easily so it can still be agressive. It's more likely going to be used on yourself rather than the opponent. The later of the two options can still be useful though.

I prefer calling it Manufacturers' Recall. They all have defective servos, they need to go back to the production plant!

Mycosynth Lattice for those who hate their friends.

"It appears all your artifacts have parts that are defective or dangerous. We're going to have to recall all of them. We apologize for any inconvenience or game loss this might cause."

Oh wow, you have two glimmervoids? Okay... Oh, and two frogmites and an arcbound ravager? That's cool, s'cool... You have a lot of really nice stu - SAY! It would really be a shame if something bad were to happen to all of it. During your next attack or maybe at the end of your turn. Just saying.

Much like Enelysios, I often target myself with this to build up my storm count and ramp my mana. Yes, Retract does it for only 1 mana, but this has another mode.
