Evil card. Don't even think about putting it in your dragonstorm .

I like the flavour of its icy breath weapon freezing creatures in place.

A bomb in Limited but seldom if ever your go-to guy in Constructed; even if you use something like Dragonstorm or reanimation to cheat on its mana cost, there have pretty consistently been better targets for such things.

I use him in a casual naya deck, that loves to sit there grow mana and cast a board sweeper every turn. I use him as a nice finisher once they have run out of gas.

@jeff-heikkinen: Well said, re: the flavour - it's not a terribly efficient creature, but granting a tap-down/lockdown ability to red was, in this case, done purely for flavour, and it is executed extremely well. I love him for it.

The icy side of red (mountaintops, etc) is not something that isn't touched upon very often (Kamigawa block actually has a few examples). Still, as a Mountain Goat could tell you, it's cold up a mountain!

The reason with Rimefeather Owl, why my opponents hate my U/R -snow deck...

Now that is flavor. Ice breathing dragons for the win.

When top-down design goes horribly right.

Use Training Grounds and rain ice counters over all of your opponent's creatures.

I want this guy's mana cost to include RedWhiteBlue very badly.

Dragon's are USUALLY Red, and RARELY Blue, but I'm thinking this could have put mono-Blue dragons on the map. everything inside the border is fine. dare I say, perfect. But it really seems to be in the wrong color. This could have been such BEAUTIFUL friends with Frost Titan, too. such a shame.

EDIT: Is that...Blue-Eyes White Dragon?! Oh. My. God. xD

Not one of the most powerful, but definatly one of the coolest dragons.

You need three of them and Polymerization to make a Dragon Tyrant.

This is my second favorite dragon. Only Intet, the Dreamer beats him in that list.

Why is this red? Isn't ice and frost supposed to be one of blues things?

Purely by chance I got to use his ability with a Training Grounds thanks to my opponent and a Copy Enchantment. It allowed me to very quickly lock down the board. I don't have enough creatures with activated abilities to warrant maindecking a Training Grounds, but I can see the temptation to build a deck around him with that idea in mind.

This little frost-breather could make some pretty cool friends with the lord of the Furnace himself, Urabrask the Hidden. If his friends Smoke and Onslaught tag along, you might be in for a bad time.

Fun as a late-game lock-down. A lot of removal can't kill him and the opponent is hopefully out of it by the lofty heights of Turn 7+. I use him in an odd MonoRed land-ramp deck with several sweepers. He can lock down whatever fat remains while I protect him with Apostle's Blessing. That said, most fat can't handle Skred; so keep some of that around too :)

While I love this guy; his art is begging for a Blue frame; I hope someday they make an homage or a planeshift of him.
