Odd ability to see in {R}... usually Stasis-like effects are seen in {W} or {B}

Since no one's mentioned it yet, I'll point out that Exalted decks might use this. You only need to tap 1 creature per turn anyway.

Pretty neat when using creatureless decks.

Use in pure burn decks and decks with creatures that are sacrificed at the beginning of the end step (e.g. Spark Elemental, Ball Lightning, Hell's Thunder & others).

Remember the days when Liliana Vess and Garruk Wildspeaker would advertise for Camel?

Now I don't know what cool is...

It's stasis without the out... If you use a deck with vigilance it might be good... but say i use Serra's Blessing... But if it's destroyed.... screw it let's use a white-red deck.

@Chamale: Exalted is a mechanic in the Shards of Alara shard of Bant, which is Green, White, and Blue. Are you suggesting plashing Red for exalted decks to run Smoke, or dropping on of those three colors? Either way, exalted decks work just fine without this, considering Stoic Angel does the same thing, and Dueling Grounds also helps exalted and is actually in the deck's colors.

This card is a good example of the color pie not really being set back then. This isn't a Red effect at all.

Where there's smoke, they pinch back.

Nothing red about it.

I think it makes perfect sense as a Red card for the time era it was printed. Where there's smoke there's FIRE... It's not quite broken, but damn how much more can you ask for out of TWO mana.... 4.5 stars. And that's being modest.

Fun with Krenko, Mob Boss. "Aw, my army's all tapped... what will I do? Oh well. Guess I'll just make another one."
