Gotta love this artwork. I want a ring that can blow people's head and shoulders clean off.

I gotta be honest, personally I'm not a fan of this artwork. but then I wasn't huge fan of the original or 5th ed artwork for this either.

Repeatable removable is always playable to some extent, but this really pushes it. If only it was cheaper to put out on the field, let alone activate.

this would be good if you didn't have to pay 8 mana every time to tap it.

with enough tron and mishras workshops it could be playable.. it is colourless burn after all, which there is not very much of

it used to be alright in multiplayer games , it was a stalemate breaker in an age of circle protections as few people ran cirle prot artifact . I had one in my ultimate tim deck , loved it

Wizards employee 1: I have an idea! Let's reprint this thing, but make it like ten times better! Brilliant, right? Wizards employee 2: Yeah. Now all we have to do is give it some Yu Gi Oh crap name. How's Tower of Calamities sound? Wizard's employee 1: Yay we're so cool with our new $50 dollar cards. Wizard's employee 2: ...Except for the fact that neither of these will cost even $5 because they're both mediocre. Wizard's employee 1: Right...

Brutal in sealed. Far too slow in constructed.

Wow. To deal 4 damage, you need to pay sixteen mana. You know what you could do with sixteen mana? Well, with one less, you can play Emrakul. Or, you know what, you could cast four lightning bolts and four blightnings for a total of 24 damage. Plus the opponent would have to discard eight cards, which is generally more than, you know, your entire hand.
So, let's weigh the options here.
16 mana for 4 damage. or 16 mana for 24 damage and their entire hand discarded.
WOW 16 mana for 4 damage! or even better 24 mana for 8 damage soooooo broken! ... take half a star.

@LordAvion Not to stomp on your dreams, but this card is better than Tower of Calamities because it's able to shoot players, the only time the Tower is better is if you have Stuffy Doll out, who's now a sad excuse for a card since wither and infect came out :/

This reminds me of Urza's Armor. It's friggin awesome, the art is sick, and you want to build a deck around it. But you don't because it feels as though you're taking out a loan when you're casting it.

Turn it into a creature, somehow, then use four copies of Training Grounds.
Okay, so it's not ideal.
Awesome art, though.

I've lost to this card. Annoying because it is not hard to find a better mana sinc when you have the Urzatron out.

It's a good thing they didn't put Aladdin's name in front of Flying Carpet or else it would've cost 6 mana with the activating ability being 4 instead of 2

This+March of the machines+Training grounds.
Simple. Still not incredibly useful, but would work sufficiently in a blue/artifact deck.

In a monster ramp deck, this could have a home. Repeatable removal on an artifact, and it can serve as a win condition. You just need lots of mana to do it. Caged Sun, Gauntlets of Power, ect.

Master of Etherium wears this ring. Tap 4 blue creatures and this at end of opponents turn.
it's hard to find it's overcosted you have to keep paying for it after you buy it.... it's worth nothing
this must be Aladdin's Wedding Ring. :)

@ SirMalkin and Solstice-273.15: ironically, turning it into a creature (via March of the Machines, Sydri, Galvanic Genius, or what have you) is the best use of it, as you'll get way more mileage out of an 8/8 creature than anything the {T} ability can do. Sydri can even give it deathtouch and lifelink.

Despite all the negative feedback, it seems pretty good to me for an EDH deck as a mid/late-game drop. When activated, it can act as either removal (it gets rid of Kaalia of the Vast) or damage to the face, in colorless. And if you have nothing better to use your mana on during the turn, or have an empty hand, you can sink your mana into this.
