It would be the most useful on cards that can do damage across the board with some type of ability, that then would tap everything else for an extra turn. Seems like a lot to get a limited poison affect though, would rather give a creature death touch and just kill them vs. not let the enemy creatures untap for a turn.

you guys dont get it they dont stay tapped for one turn they remain tapped for aslong as neko te is in play your opponent can not untap any creature that has been dmg'd by a creature equiped with neko te in any untap phase until the artifact is destroyed
This card plus Prodigal Sorceror and Pemmins Aura + high tide= double damage craziness.

Aside from Ronin Cliffrider, Plaguespitter also does a great job with that equipment: When Plaguespitter's first ability triggers, it taps all creatures and lets your opponent lose 2 life, then you can attack with it to hit your opponent and make him/her lose another 3 life. This card would be junk if it only triggered with combat damage, but like this things get far more interesting.

How about Lord of Shatterskull Pa$$?
If it doesn't kill them outright...

Doesn't work with plaguespitter, since plaguespitter would tap itself and not be able to attack. Well, it would work, just not quite how you described. It even makes you and your opponent lose 2 life, not just them.

Well, Quitus Spike just makes this useless right off the bat. A shame really, as this is much cooler when you think about it!

I have a nasty double strike deck that this would go great in... Can anyone say sunhome or psychotic fury on a soltari guerrillas?
Wow. This is realty good. Maybe deathtouch would be better in most cases, but I like this better.

@Dark_Raider: If i was swinging into an indestructible blocker, i would much rather have my troops going into battle armer with Neko-Te as opposed to Quietus Spike. Also, this equipment has a cheaper equip cost of {2} as opposed to {3} for the spike.

My god, how did they let an apostrophe error onto the final version of this card? That's atrocious. >_<

Its sad that your card has bad grammar. Where was you're Frazzled Editor? Its they're job!

Kamigawa had some nice equipment. While this thing is a bit expensive and more than a bit outdated, it's still a handy little tool.

@tcollins: Not to mention, this dominates reanimator decks. Black laughs at the player who puts deathtouch on their creature; black cringes at the idea of perma-tapping their beauties.
