As far as I know, the only Magic card with the word "***" on it.

Has anyone else noticed that this card is, in addition to being silly, quite powerful, especially in red? A 2/2 for 1R with no drawbacks is considered overpowered in red, but adding a relevant protection makes this card rather overpowered. Admittedly, it dies to most removal spells, but it is still useful.

Its like a half-arsed mini progenitus, if you think about it...

This card is kind of a game breaker in Unhinged Limited. I think there are only 3 cards it doesn't have protection from in the entire set. They should have put a note on it to not count flavor text or reminder text, since that would make it a little bit less ridiculous.

5/5 just for the flavor text

teddust4, check the FAQ: "Does flavor text count for the four lines of text? No. The word "text" refers to rules text only, meaning that flavor text and reminder text doesn't count."

What is this about this "*** mightier," Trebek?

Card of the day for 5 November 2010 - no comment was made about the pen/is joke, instead, it was pointed out that "Bureacrat" in his type line is an uncorrected mistake (the correct spelling is "Bureaucrat").

"A 2/2 for 1R with no drawbacks is considered overpowered for Red." What?! In what modern format, or even in the time of unhinged? Maybe back in the days of the original Sligh deck... That said, with protection from so much, this is powerful.

Proof that Wizards is just as frustrated with the censors as we are.
What's that? Your Tarmogoyf can't swing in for damage? I'm so sorry.

A red bear with a plus instead of a drawback. Pretty decent.

The pen is mightier than the sword, though both can ruin a perfectly good shirt.

I believe that this card is the only 2/2 creature costing that has no drawback.

I just noticed that there is no comment on this card that Frazzled Editor has protection from.

What a coincidence, my Pen is mightier than a sword too... 4/5 Stars Edit: What the frack is that green thing on his desk that hes holding on to?

Re: Uhhsam, "does this card have protection from itself?"
If text doesn't count reminder text, then no; the only line of rules text Frazzled Editor has is "Protection from wordy."
This card is so great: The art (I think that's the tail of an iguana he's grasping; there's a typewriter and telephone on his desk; there are stacks of magic cards; moths surrounding the light, etc.), the flavor text, the editor's marks . . .
Can anyone confirm or point me to the reference that states that flavor text and reminder text doesn't count towards wordiness? My friend uses this card against me all the time, and I complain that flavor text shouldn't count.

The funniest part about this card is that it's still better than any legitimate common red bear.

You guys are all missing the crazy part of this card - It's a 2/2 for {1}{R} with an upside! That actually doesn't happen :o
