Definitly the coolest of the patrons.
If you could just somehow give it vigilance, your opponents are gonna be in big trouble :P

Wouldn't he untap himself? You pay the cost (tap) and it goes on the stack. It then resolves. So he untaps?

Whats totally awesome about this card is unlike some of the other patrons, it simply says sacrifice "snake" and there are an abundance of snakes in the game. You could quite easily simply sacrifice any number of snake creatures early on and play it on your opponents turn. Your opponent attacks and is going to kill off your poor lorescale or its about to be destroyed by doomblade? Sacrifice it in response, play this card for 5, and you have a nice new 7/7 and take no damage.

i'd say he would untap himself, hence the reason it states that it can only be used once a turn, otherwise this card would be broken, you would need to kill it the first turn it comes out or its game over.

Destructive in green decks and make it very scary with beacon behemoth for vigilance

If I have a 7/7 lump of green goo for a beatstick, I'd want to be using him to beat people, not to block and untap my other stuff. Still, the Snake Offering allows for some interesting shenanigans, especially with untapping all your lands if you're mono-green. Those sorts of interesting choices seem to go against the 'all upside' cards that Wizards is so fond of, which I personally find a bit disappointing. Overall, a really neat card.

Yes. He untaps himself. That's why they threw the "Once per turn" thing. So you can indeed use its ability and then attack

This guy can be a beast in EDH/ Commander. Use all you tap abilities and mana during ever turn.

Obviously the best of the Patrons, especially seeing how it untaps itself. Definitely worth it in any green deck, having snakes is just a welcome bonus.

I would really like to know if any player in the history of Magic has ever resolved the "Snake offering" ability of this card. It may have never happened.

It wasn't until I found this card that I noticed the 'offering' ability sort of grants flash (cast at instant speed). I'd never bothered to read the details before.

IT HAS FLASH!! How could I've missed that!?

Crazy effective, but remember, it untaps ALL green creatures an ALL Forests, so if you're going against another mono-Green, watch out. It'll be awkward when BOTH of your titans enter a punch-up.

This does seem mighty powerful, but this one appeals to me the least.
3.5/5 from personal preference.

Tap all your mana creatures and forests for mana, play something mental, then tap him. Then attack.

Simple. Effective. EVIL.
