For a card that works so well with ninja the flavour seems.....off.

This card works rather well, especially if using ninjas, suspend, or any card with haste. its strong point is also its most annoying feature too tho.

What makes you think a ninja would have trouble with a club, eh? Maybe club-bearing ninjas are so successful that nobody's ever heard of them. Didya ever think about that, eh?
If they had just called it "Ninja Warclub", what a better place the world could be...

I wish it said "you may attach this to that creature" cause if your forced to you often times dont have the choice to keep it on the card you want to attack with multiple times.

For the same cost you can cast and equip Trusty Machete. Without mana acceleration, you can drop that on first turn, Kor Duelist on second turn, and on third it's equipped on a 3/2 double strike with one mana free.
This thing is better though for some decks, such as the ninja stuff, and it's also good for effects that can drop tokens into play on someone else's turn e.g. Master's Call.

This is Obsidian Battle-Axe, but it had to have an increased casting cost due to fact it states 'creature' not a 'type' of creature ie warrior, soldier, goblin etc. It was brtual in draft especially because when Betrayers came out. Most everyone was either going white samurai weenies or ninja combat tricks. Red beats was strong in this set and most people missed that fact. 3/5

What bugs me more than the high equip cost is the fact that - unlike Obsidian Battle-Axe or Sai of the Shinobi - you have to equip it to the latest creature you've cast: The Warclub won't care if it's getting equipped on Llanowar Elves, or even if it just gets unequipped when a Tel-Jilad Chosen shows up.
The may clause would have made it that much better. Like this, the equip cost makes sure you won't simply give it the creature you'd like to wield it the most.
Guys, it's equip cost isn't high... it's {0 in the right deck.

Not an equipment most decks will want, but with Flash, instant speed tokens and ninjas it is very effective. Don't be hung up on the downsides, its a niche card and it works well in its niche. IT could be maybe cheaper, but I am still satisfied.

But yeah, brutal with Pandemonium and Cream of the Crop and other CIP/ETB effects, though not the most effective. Nice extra bonus on red-rush aggro like Spark Elemental, Ball Lightning, and that ilk.
