One of the damage link creaures in MTG. cost and it casted for only one reason.. To attack as soon as it enters the battleground.
I personally prefer Hellspark Elemental since it allows you do deal up to 6 damage if everything goes right but costs , but has the Unearth, that allows you to bring to onto the battleground for once more
This is a great card and has the Elemental schtick of ideas-made-into-creatures down best of any Elemental I've seen. This is Lightning Bolt made into a creature, right down to mana cost. I wish we saw more like this. 5/5.

This guy's strength isn't in laying him down on turn one for 3 points to your opponent; it lies in pumping him up. After all, how often do you aim lightning bolt at your foe's skull?

Primal Forcemage makes creatures like these very dangerous very quickly...

I will call him Boltface and he will be my Boltface.
Mountain -> Spark Elemental -> pitch a Greater Gargadon to the Blazing Shoal, swing, pitch two other red cards to Fury of the Horde, swing again, game.

@cathode01 Even better, T0: Mountain, Spark Elemental, Blazing Shoal pitching Emrakul/Draco, Mutagenic Growth, win. Theoretically something with CMC 11 would suffice, but then it goes like: T0: Mountain, Spark Elemental, Blazing Shoal pitching Ulamog, Mutagenic Growth x3, win.

@FatalEagle That combo is ALMOST good, until you realize that Blazing Shoal requires a red card. The highest cost Red cards in the game are 10 CMC and there's like 6 of them or so. My suggestion for the combo is Turn 1 Spark Elemental, Blazing Shoal exiling any card with CMC higher than 7 (may I suggest Chancellor of the Forge for dual purposes), then exile Simian Spirit Guide for Assault Strobe. Yeah, that would be good.
Anyways, good card. Hate the argument on which one is better, this or Hellspark Elemental. They both serve two different purposes and they both belong in the same deck in my opinion. Can't decide which to run? Run both lol.

Okay, so here's my version of the turn 1 win, with only commons except for Blazing Shoal.

Turn 1
Mountain, Rite of Flame, Spark Elemental, Blazing Shoal exiling Macetail Hystrodon, Assault Strobe, attack for 20, win.
I know it's impractical, but whatever.
