I normally love color/land word altering costs. But the entwine cost should be 0 because it are far too few opportunities to use both abilities. And is it possible to top Whim of Volrath on these.

This is the best card of its kind, I think. It can change land types or colors on spells or permanents. The entwine rarely comes up, but in a big melee game, you can bugger the Reiver Demon AND spite the Cabal Coffers :P

No matter the card itself, the art is just amazing. John Avon rocks so much !

I like this card in combination with Wrath of Marit Lage, and some Minister of Impediments. You can shut down almost all of their creaures with that combo, Especially in a mono deck.

The art is gorgeous.

The card? Let's say I can't remember what it does.

I have this on my sideboard and use Cunning Wish to fetch it when needed. It's a great card.

P1: Haha, my blue-playing friend! I may have recently drawn my last Mountain, and you may keep eating my deck, but I know you're out of counterspells of all sorts! So, as I have the only creature on the board, I shall cast this Boil! Would you like to call it a game?
P2: Sure. (casting this) It's a game. I name Mountain. And quit talking like a douche.
P1: ........shit.

@Spidey77: No, Consume Spirit does not reference any basic land type. You can get black mana from places other than lands, after all.

This + Boil = Plague Wind for lands... if your opponent has a mono color deck with only basic lands....

@Totema: There's a second half of this card, if you didn't bother reading it, involving colors.

@Spidey77: An interesting idea, but sadly you can't react to mana being paid and once the spell is actually cast there's no way to change what it costs.
